Is $649 the best price around for this netbook? Am looking forward to get one probably in the coming 3-5 weeks...

bought mine for $550 last year...why the sudden increase in price ?
harddisk become more ex ?
the older batch comes with 500gb harddisk also.

$550 bought last year should be the first version with older CPU (350 something one, $649 is with 450 something one) and probably 1gb ram...

Was hoping to pick up something cheap at the fair at Suntec but seeing the long q, I u turn and go home...

nobody offers 1gb ram for win 7 home.
default is 2gb but i got a ram add-on to 4gb.
besides there is not much processing difference between e-350 and e-450 (0.05ghz diff) even the newer intel atoms N2800 are a step ahead at 1.86ghz.

Last year November PC show, I bought one.
$549 with 4G ram 500G HDD and it is E450, not E350.

It could due to the demand that push the price up.

Probably the product positioning as well...
AMD is marketing this as "THE GAMING NETBOOK" so naturally people would pay 100-150 more to have a real gaming netbook and I think right now. This is a section which Intel is unable to fill with a very competitive pricing

Which could be the reason why Intel is focusing more on Ultrabooks and ultra slim laptops...
If you are an INTEL lover and wants a gaming netbook, the next BEST bet would be Asus Lambo netbook

webcam issue

Hi,

I bought an EEEpc 1215b recently. The webcam stopped working once i exitted from the ECAM app. There's no webcam detected. I tried finding the driver to reinstall the webcam but can't seem to find it. Anyone has any similar problems?

Tried D3 on it with 800x600 screen resolution and with every other settings at either low or off and it is playable
