bro the problem is now not easy to get a device to rec via composite/component out

i wil prefer component out so i can get HD. Now SH all is HD already.

but build a HTPC to record isit too over?

A HTPC does offer more flexibility in offering the recording types u require.

To capture SH show only can use htpc?

Slightly OT since nothing to do with DVB-T2...

But anyway, I bought a 2nd hand AverMedia C281 to "copy" out all my SH Hubstation HD recordings via component cables.

Curious to know if you have tried recording miotv and starhub cable via the HDMI input?

Can you post a mediainfo of the mp4 files?

Just curious to see what kind of encoding settings they use.

Hi,

My PCI TV card is spoilt and need to get a replacement. Recently heard and see a lot of TV box posting but I am outdated.

My PCI TV card connect to the scv wall socket to receive signal from mediacorp, as for the replacement, does it still connect to the SCV wall socket or using antenna to receive signal?

Secondly, my sibling room do not have any TV wall socket and if were to watch TV channel on laptop, is there any device that can watch on laptop without a need of the tv wall socket? If using antenna, will the program have a lot of noise or will give a clear screen? Please help. TIA!

Wonder anyone using this AVerTV Hybrid Volar T2 H831 (USB) selling at S$95 at SLS?
TBS5220 USB DVB-T2 after conversion with shipping cost also coming to about S$92.

Best confirm if that AverTV is v 1.3.1 compliant and suitable for use in Singapore's implementation of DVB-T2 just to be 100% safe ;)

hi guys... got a DBV-T compliant usb stick lying around for other uses and wanted to try out tuning HDTV. Read up that the switchover to DVB-T2 started Dec 2013 but DVB-T should still be broadcasting for a few more years correct?

Just wanted to check.. because my tuner wasn't able to pick up a single thing on 538mhz. Wanted to test test on CNA. Antenna is about 1-2m away from the nearest window.

Am I doing something wrong or is DVB-T already completely obsolete now?
