Or isit another those free preview promotion?

I notice those are HD channels.... perhaps they are doing some testing first and when completed, to move those channels into the encrypted region? :o

u stay bedok can go those tv shops @ bedok interchange, saw daiyo selling ard 45 older model w/o booster, look something like tis, but e one come wif a stand for e thing to stand upright
http://www.daiyo.com.sg/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=138&search=antenna

booster one is tis

http://www.courts.com.sg/daiyo-hd-digital-indoor-antenna-eu1702-ip046912-m.html

can ask for cheaper other brand , selling ard 30+, just a note of e cable length if u wan place near e window.

actually e one selling 45 look physically more like e one selling ard 64 @ e sites, only is e box picture look bit different,(missing word 'amplified' but stated t2 ready)

Sorry I am very noob at this.

I just bought a HD TV (digital ready) and connect the cable wire to the wall plug socket. But turns out the image is totally very blur.

Do I need to buy an antenna for this? I tried calling Bestdenki and this is what they told us.

Also, what is the difference between Daiyo EU673A antenna and EU1702 antenna?
Is 673A effective to get HD images too?

Thanks in advance!

something 4u to read

https://www.fcc.gov/guides/antennas-and-digital-television

any antenna will do, if ask abt e diff, it will b price, design, look.
performance wise not too sure , but hd digital antenna may have better reception on digital signal.

Good guide. bear in mind that for sg, only UHF frequency is used. So only UHF antenna is required.

This is another guide that is tailored to local conditions:

@miteix, first check whether your location is "indoor ready". Go one level up to "Introduction" on the link to MediaCorp. Whether a particular antenna works or not depends on the signal at the location. With strong signal, a cheap and simple antenna will do. With weak signal, one with a booster is a better bet. Still, there is no guarantee.

those active wif voltage source in theory is to amplifiy e weak signals wif some circuitry, in practical how useful is a question, can depends and oso on conditions, so e cause is still e signals.
if in door ready den signal is strong, if not ready, den wil nid to place near e window or outdoor to get gd signal.

Of course that's not what I meant but at the very least they should honour their warranty.

What is the use of a card that only works for a few hours when all 4 tuners are in use at the same time? :s22:

i'd completed 1st round of test on your TBS6285~ continuous 6hrs of recording on all 4 tuners in DVB-C mode~ no cut off & work perfectly wor~! :zonia:

scan hardware~
fuaybl.jpg

set timer from 17:55 to 23:55 on 4 difference freq channels~ while recording, i set another recording for 9pm show~
apbvjr.jpg

recording completed~ total hrs: close 24hrs, 62.3Gb~ had preview all the files & all of them are playing well~
rc3lax.jpg

do note that i put an USB fan for additional cooling~

will do a test on DVB-T2 mode tomorrow~ :s22:

means kiwi's htpc too hot already? or power supply unstable?

maybe get some heatsinks and paste it onto the tuner's chip?

Hmmm I'm not sure too... or maybe it's my motherboard PCIE slot not stable. :o

completed TBS6285 dvb-t2 test~ this time round i put mre stress to it by recording 6 HD & 2 SD channels~ :s22: however i didn't realise my HDD ran out of space resulting the recording to stop at 4hrs 41min~ the tuner still continue to run when i reach home~ :s22:

install dvb-t2 drivers for TBS6285~
x2nwab.jpg

record all 6 HD + 2 SD channels at one go~ this shld be enough for most demanding users~
5ouv0p.jpg

total 8 clips, 37hr~ play all clips and ffwd at random points, all working fine~
VLC player can't play Ch U audio but no prob when i switch to MPC-HC player~ :s22:
