Happy to report Mygica T230 works when paired with Raspberry PI 2 running OpenELEC 6.0 out of the box. The tvheadend service and PVR client all run from the RPI but you need to enable OpenELEC unofficial addons repository to enable the PVR service.

I was setting it up for my dad using DVB-C. Tried DVB-T2 at first but his place isn't in the Mediacorp official indoor reception area yet and had some channels without sound - maybe it was the antenna. Gave up and switched to DVB-C off Starhub's and that worked without issue.

New Astrometa dongle that can do Analogue TV / DVB-T2 / FM Radio and AV in

Is cheapest US$30, more expensive than the Geniatech T230 but at least has working BDA drivers.

Wow good to know bro - so what were your findings? Working with local FTA DVB-T2 in Windows 10 or not?

Too bad I lost my Blaze HDTV v4 installer file which can do both, don't really like the TVR except you need it for FM and AV also.

Also bought a Mstar7T01 based box for US$21.
The mini antenna is used for both earlier screenshots.

Never try NextPVR.
The AV in audio think has some slight distortion though.

OT: CIS plan?

Not CIS plan, just normal subscriber plan just that I had it for more than a decade liao. Anyway let's discuss this in the thread I created. :o

As for the AV, what about the Component (the three-cable video cable) AV capture USB device I found on AliExpress? Does that work better?

Astrometa cannot do component in. There is an s-video option in TVR app but no cable provided.
So composite = 480/576i max.

Or alternatively, any HDMI capture card to recommend? Preferably something that has a passthru so that I can connect the output from the StarHub HDMI port to the card, then from the card to the TV. :o

Looks like there are 3 versions of Astrometa:

1. Version 1: http://blog.palosaari.fi/2013/10/naked-hardware-14-dvb-t2-usb-tv-stick.html
2. Version 2: http://blog.palosaari.fi/2014/09/naked-hardware-18-astrometa-amdvb-t2-v2.html
3. Yours is version 3.

BDA drivers: http://www.astrometa.com.tw/integrated_en.html
