so no missing T2 channels when using combined signal :s11:

last time C + T got missing T channels, so me dun trust combined signal anymore
but now can just use my 2 yrs old "useless" TBS6280 for C signal and the rest of my T2 tuners for T2 signal only, more "clean" without affecting one another

for my case, i can't get it work with combine signals~ i hv switched to respective antenna socket if i wanna change to T/T2 to C~

ya, best is hv two delicate tuners for each service~ :s22:

so even if next time there is combined drivers, it only save u the trouble of changing drivers but never save u the trouble of switching signals, also very troublesome wor

time to hoot 1 more 6281
if 1 card down, still got 1
if kiwi gorgor's 6285 down, all 4 tuners gone :(

i think he meant combined drivers as he mentioned this new card's driver is either T2 or C. The old one can received T and C with one driver installation and can be switched in software.

Combined signals may overlap hence some missing channels (this is just my assumption)

Sure, but i not sure of the rules or how to go about doing it. Im sure many bros from the other threads wanna get it as well

It's not about the combined signals but the combined drivers only.

I bought a combiner before but I have not gotten combined signals to work also, so I exchanged the combiner for another item.

I just received my TBS card. However i do not have the right software to operate it. The software provided is making things worse. Can someone recommend me a software to watch and can schedule recordings.

and why cant i use my second pci-e x16/x8 slot to operate it?

I use the freeware NextPVR to schedule recordings.

But u may use any other software that is BDA-compliant, as the TBS drivers are BDA-compliant too.

Is nextPVR a server/client software?

Any recommendation for standalone? Mediacenter is also fine.

i found progDVB to be very good but its not free. Cant get other versions to work as well

EDIT: Just tried Next PVR again. Got the images to work but T2 channels have no sound. T channels have video and sound

Have you found the right software to operate it?

I have the TBS-6281 card running in Windows 8.1. TBSViewer and DVBDream that comes with the card doesn't work for me and likewise, the Windows Media Centre. I am not able to get the sound right - either no sound or shattering sound.

By chance, I come across MediaPortal and tried it. I managed to use it to watch and record on my PC smoothly. I also managed to stream it to another PC and watch it through the Projector without problem. The only inconvenience I experienced so far is that you have to select the right audio (audio language in particular HD8) every time to get the best and right sound of it. Once you get the right setting, the sound quality is fairly good. I have used it for about a week and still exploring it.
