your first job? did you give yourself time to learn and like the role? knowledge is something you can learn during your tenure. Promotion, you need to have a "A" game in social ladder apart from doing BAU.

Yes. . Yes however most of the content , knowledge will be recorded in my desktop so that I can refer to them. I prefer to understand than remember which I am bad at. At times, I am unable to understand even with assistance and support, I dread doing my work ..

Everywhere you go, there will be challenges. It’s rarely perfect anywhere.

How long have you been in the company? Give yourself some time to adjust and learn. Even if you’re aiming for higher pay, people need to see that you’re worth the price tag, meaning, you need to know your stuff and prove your value.

The job market is not great right now, especially if you’re thinking of quitting without having something lined up. I’ve been jobless for close to a year myself, so just sharing from experience.

$4.5K for a fresh grad is already considered quite high. Don’t read too much into the salary figures you see in local media since they don’t always reflect the full picture.

Someone once told me: people pay you based on your capabilities, so don’t undersell yourself. Know your worth and negotiate accordingly.

I dunno you personally, or your background, but if is your first or second job, probably can stay and learn.

There's not much transferrable skills outside my industry and I don't think I should be in just for the money, career is a long term route 10-20 years so and would like to seriously consider trying other roles which I might be able to excel in and perhaps have more job stability, I can plan my life ahead bettee according to my personal goals

ok. than you see how lor. you know yourself the best.

anyway, transferable skills, really depends how you see it, and linked them up.

if you are not in any urgent scenario to find quit without a job, please don't. not in current market sentiments. secure a job first, then move on.

I personally feel based on my qualifications I should be getting 4k max, probably just lucky that the course of study and industry are relevant , giving me current pay to attract and retain employee.

If I am in public sector, maybe they will give me 3.6-3.8k

achievements ah... I like don't have haha

use chatgpt to convert your job scope into achievements, include statistics and also what was done to achieve it and from there pick a few important ones cause nobody is gonna believe it when you got a long list of achievements

It's been a while — and after almost a year of job search, I got an offer! I start next monday

The thing is it's a contract role that lasts for about one and a half years, pay is just under $4k (2024 graduate), 6 month probation

Well, just gonna learn as much as I can, hopefully I do well enough to get contract renewed or even convert to perm, so please wish me luck!
