Which area were u looking at initially for your 4room flat? Maybe u can get a 5rm in a cheaper location (non-mature estate), can get higher grant also from govt for non-mature estate. Also, how about 3 room? can consider also

I told the HDB officer after my grant was approved via email that I was going to use wood laminate flooring and was asking her if extra screeding was needed for my unit.

She said she requested for free screeding on my behalf and it was approved. I just have to go to the branch office to apply and arrange the timing after the key collection but I also have to pay a top up fee for laminates as the free screeding provided by HDB is not enough.

The branch office even called me like an hour after that to ask me when I would like their contactor to start. I was like, I haven't even gotten my notification to collect my key yet! Lol

Guys what will happen if i apply under MCPS scheme but then my mom has a private property and not gonna sell? what will happen at the HDB meeting?

To apply for the MCPS scheme for the area im looking at (more than 2km from her current home), so means she will have to move in with me. The current place she is living in, got no lift.. so I would like to have a place for her in my future hdb for her in case she cannot climb stairs anymore. But we won't be selling the old house.. don't know if HDB will allow.. how ah?If apply under MCPS but parent dont wanna sell private property...
