I went to HDB hub to do my application but met with HDB officer to ask some questions because my situation was a little complicated. She gave me a rundown of timeline and what to expect and prepare.

So no specific queue number but she told me that they intend to start the booking/selection in March and wrap up by April.

So means if by april..nvr get any notification frm hdb to select a unit.. means can forget abt it liao ha? Apply for the nxt SbF?

Sorry but I would not know. I asked for the time line because some of the required documents they need is overseas and I need a heads-up so I can prepare. So she broke it down for me and told me when and what to prepare.

But I remembered being quite surprised at the speed as I had heard getting a flat was a pretty slow process.

I see... i was under the impression tht ROF is alot faster than SBF.. as per the timeline given by their website...

Yes, that's what the HDB officer told me too, about 2 months for the grants to be approved and can sign final agreement and collect keys around August.

I've been away from SG for over 10 years, so I'm still used to the old system. The new schemes I only just started looking into them recently.

I got sbf queue no. 97/98 and the appt date will be estimated in May while this ROF I got 2xx appt date March..So I guess if I don't choose ROF I won't be getting the desired flat from SBF as the units I want are 9 units out of 98. I'm not very good with location, may I know what good location are there with potential upside? I'm able to choose under "others" ethnics as well. Thanks..

u mentioned that you have both SBF and ROF que number? it is even possible?
Possible. Even BTO also can take one number next number 3 months later. Read alot of people doing it for the Tampines BTO last Nov and this Feb.

I manage to get answer to your question.. http://www.hdb.gov.sg/cs/infoweb/residential/buying-a-flat/new/changes-and-cancellation

First-timer singles and second-timer families

If you were invited to select a flat, but did not do so even though there were units available, you would be considered as having rejected to select a flat once
If you reject 2 chances to select a flat, you will not be able to participate in Build-To-Order (BTO)/ Sale of Balance Flat(SBF) sales launches for a period of 1 year

ROF rejection does not count as one. This one is cfm. I wrote in and ask before.

Huh? I tot u can oni chose either one oni? Then no wonder the number of applicants always surpasses the number of units avail...too many dual queue takers which doesnt really give those urgent in need of flats an edge 😑

exactly.. i though you have to give up your current application / que no. before one could apply the next sale opening.

As for myself, i didnt get any que number for last SBF and the system mentioned that I could apply for next sales.

Same.. i rmbr seeing on Hdb website that u are only allowed to queue for 1..so i opted for this since the timeline is shorter. Can we say tht this is a system lapse? For allowing applicants to queue twice without giving up a queue number? They should hv been flagged during the application seriously..
