ah... but it seems like it will not work with the D1 switches if the switches are bought directly from TB...
I have Aqara D1 switches and they work fine with my Hubitat hub.

For my other home, I am planning to use it with Home Assistant. I already have the hub up and running, just waiting for renovation to complete before I start integrating the switches and my other smart home devices.

The D1 switch is not country-specific since it is using Zigbee protocol. It should not matter whether you buy it locally or from TB in my opinion.

yup, I have the same thoughts about the switches. They should be just dumb zigbee devices.

Need help. I have a number of 2 way switches (control lights from 2 locations).

Anyone managed to install the aqara without neutral wire? Any guide out there?

I don't think you can do it with just wiring of smart switches, you will need to add automation too. You can do this:
  1. Find out which switch is connected to the light, if there is neutral line at that switch use Aqara switch with neutral, if not use Aqara non-neutral switch.
  2. At the other switch, disconnect all cables and tape them up. Install Aqara wireles switch; https://www.aqara.com/en/wireless_remote_switch.html
  3. Set automation for wireless switch to toggle switch in #1.
Basically, only switch #1 is connected to light and controls it directly. The second switch just detect user click and toggle switch #1 using automation.

Thanks. Mine is without neutral and I will take up your suggestion to get a wireless switch.

Do you know whether it is indeed as simple as disconnected the other switch? Or I have to meddle with the configuration of the first switch as well?

Wondering whether I need to do reconfiguration at the first switch or at the lighting points instead.

I don't have 2-way switches but the configuration make sense. You can even use blank plate for the second switch and add any wireless switch that you can stick anywhere to control the same light. With automation, your imagination is the limit

Does anyone know if it is possible to integrate Aqara M2 Hub into Home Assistant?
If yes, can share how you did it?
Thanks.

Thanks for your advice!

Btw, does anyone have contacts to install smart curtains. I bought the sets but need someone to install it properly, meaning take out the old track and install the new track 😂

Can you share your current setup with SmartThings (Hub?) and Aqara switches? Do you need an Aqara Hub to get the Aqara switches to work with SmartThings, or can they connect directly to your SmartThings Hub?

Tried with the aqara m2 hub and it works perfectly!
Did you use the international version of m2 hub? Saw a youtube that says China version of m2 hub will not work in Singapore. Which server did you use?

No need aqara hub, SmartThings hub can connect all my aqara zigbee devices directly.

got the global version from Lazada.
Connect to others server

in terms of lag, HomeKit is the fastest.

I hardly use the aqara app to control, but there is a noticeable lag when using voice command from google home. Might be a google home issue
Using voice command will always be slower. The AI voice assistant needs to process what you say first > execute the routine > google will access aqara cloud > aqara sends command to the devices

it's just installing a normal curtain tracks which you can ask any handyman to fix up for you. Then you setup the smart home stuff yourself. You can try contacting @ 8204 3321

Hi fellow experts, can I check with you on how you automate your aircons? Mine is the newer bto where the main power switch is located outside the window ledge so a smart switch like the one below is not possible.
