Anyone has issues using BroadLink with their Mitsubishi aircon these days ?

all along it was fine for me until the past few weeks. Couldn’t work. Tried to set up again and still the same thing.

which brand did you go for in the end and how has it been for you so far?

am in the midst of renovating my place and kinda urgently require a brand of smart switch. I believe plenty of new home owners are like me, lost in the huge mess of smart home brands and the recent Aqara incompatability issues with google assistant just makes the purchasing process much tougher.

would appreciate any help and experiences so far!

Went for the Avatto Neutral switches as posted for the lights. Got the higher ampere switches (up to 30A) from Lonsonho; both arrived within 2 weeks after purchase from AliExpress.

And guess what, both come in similar boxes (I believe its all OEM, the brands just take from supplier and sell it at different cost - so choosing the cheapest Avatto works well enough).

Also got my ID to pull neutral wired to each switch point (quoted $30 ea point); but to-date, have yet to got them installed because reno works have been delayed... Will update in a few weeks' time!

Thanks for this. Am still deciding between Avatto (based on your recommendations) or Tuya smart switches with neutral as well. Seems like Tuya probably has a larger database of products which makes the home ecosystem more cohesive if I were to add products. Also not too sure about the individual app interface or how simply these brands could be linked to google.

Will there be any issues if i pull neutral wire first but leave it unconnected. And then use back non-neutral switches. Then when i decide to change to smart switches that uses neutral wire, then attachthe neutral wire back?

Does it make sense?

Wow didn't know that there is such an active home automation thread. Just realized some of my youtube videos are being shared in hwz, should have popped in more often now!
Good to see you here. Any issues with your Aqara switches so far?

Hello! Can I check if anyone is using Lifesmart devices, especially the nature mini? I’m wondering if it’s laggy and it’s compatibility and ease to integrate with other products.

Thanks in advance!

Neutral wire lighting circuits during reno or else look into options like a Lutron Aurora Smart Bulb Dimmer to over lay pre-existing switch.

Philips Hue up the house lights.

Either Google Home or Amazon Echo to connect to Hue Hub.

does Lutron sell their smart switches here? I emailed Lutron and they said that their Casetta smart switches are not sold here

shopping

I bought from overseas. It is for Hue lighting.

the switch has a replaceable battery within.

you can pretty much place it anywhere but I guess it would be more intuitive to slap it over the usual switch

2 of them sitting at home, not setup yet
