I trying to find a M1S for my bedroom as I prefer having the night light function. My ceiling fan is running RF and I am already buying a separate tuya universal IR/RF controller. Hence, having a m2 Hub is a bit "extra" as I only need it to relay zigbee.Just curious. Why would you want to use the Aqara M1S hub when the Aqara M2 hub is available?
Not as straightforward as you wish it will be.anyone using smartthings hub in your house? it can link to zwave and zigbee devices right?
any reason? difficult to setup?? cause i have mix of z wave and zigbee, seems like only smartthings can do both. Aeotec is the new version right? Not as straightforward as you wish it will be.
keen to know too, as I plan to have both Zigbee and Z-wave devices as wellNot as straightforward as you wish it will be.
It must be part of the lineup in ST listed brands. If it isn't it is not going to be straightforward you will need to set your smartthings device handler. Aqara is definitely not part of ST listed brands. My advice, do your diligence before jumping into it blindlyany reason? difficult to setup?? cause i have mix of z wave and zigbee, seems like only smartthings can do both. oh, thanks, will look into it. Which version should we purchase? UK one? Thanks. You can consider Hubitat as well and it offers zigbee and zwave integration as well. The people who founded Hubitat were previously key contributors in the SmartThings community.
I am using the UK version. Do note that the version you choose determines the supported zwave frequency. For the UK version, it supports UK zwave frequency, i.e. 868.4 MHzoh, thanks, will look into it. Which version should we purchase? UK one? Thanks.

Singapore was previously using UK zwave frequency but IMDA switched to South Korea zwave frequency (920.90 MHz, 921.70 MHz, 923.10 MHz). Can do some reading over here.
It's easier to get zwave products based on UK zwave frequency as well.
That's interesting - it seems like the current Hubitat supports multiple frequencies. My Hubitat of 3-4 years old has to select the zwave frequency at the time of purchase.Ordering Hubitat Elevation® for Other Regions
Hubitat Elevation® can be used in any region of the world. To order a hub for a different region, select the product above that has the power supply that you need. You will be able to set the Z-Wave frequency for your region in the user interface when you set up your hub. All power supplies are USB 5 Volts @ 1 Amp, 100V to 240V. Other available regions/frequencies include:
Does the above mean i can order the UK one and set to korea frequency?
Hi, may i know how you check if the z-wave devices is compatiable with hubitat? That's interesting - it seems like the current Hubitat supports multiple frequencies. My Hubitat of 3-4 years old has to select the zwave frequency at the time of purchase.
I read the updated zwave documentation, the zwave frequency can be switched in settings.
In this case, just choose the UK variant as it uses the same 3-pin power plug as Singapore.
Aqara m2 hub can learn and emit IR.anyone able to control normal ceiling fans(with feedback on on/off status/can adjust speed) with either z-wave/zigbee?
