Specifically, the software registered about 75% of nearby Android handsets but only 4% of iPhones.
"Apple software prevents iPhones being used effectively for contact tracing unless you're using Apple's own technology," he said.
"Our app won't work because Apple won't change that system... and their app can't measure distance well enough to a standard that we are satisfied with.
"What matters is what works. Because what works will save lives."
The apps rely on Apple and Google’s co-developed exposure notification platform
It was developed by Microsoft engineers, according to Nikkei, who were hired in May after Google and Apple’s conditions reportedly led the government to abandon the work done by a Tokyo-based team in favor of a bigger corporation.

Ya, I'm on M1. Has been happening to me on a daily basis. I usually just toggle airplane mode on and off and it goes back to normal. I have already told Apple Support regarding this, they will get back to me.So this happened to me twice this month. Realised my 4G wasn’t working went I left my work compound. Had to reset my phone to get it working. Both times I think were right after checking out with SingPass app. But apart from these two times, the rest of the times I can use 4G with no issues after checking out. M1 user here. Anyone with same issues?
