Sinking deep into this dilemma...

What is a friend ?
What is an acquaintance ?

Should colleagues at workplace be:
1) strictly colleagues,
2) acquaintance, or
3) friend

Thanks

I read somewhere before that 90% of small businesses fail within a few years

Yeah read that in a lot of places as well.

The odds of succeeding in business is strangely the same as the odds of actively managed mutual funds beating the index over any 5 year period - 10%.

Risk big, 1 out of 10 attempts will win big.

Work is work. Want to become friends with colleagues, do it after either party leaves the company.

Reveal too much about your personal circumstances in the office, and one day it might be used against you.

Short answer: NO. Colleagues can be called friendly colleagues, but not friends. They are your friends when you are no longer working with them.

SharkTank taught me this fundamental: there is a difference between business and hobbies: numbers and figures. In business you care those, but I'm hobbies you just want to go on day by day.

shark tank gets boring after a while.. there are some great ideas in there but a lot of them are like selling clothes or general stuff

and those "angel investors" mostly have their eyes lit up at patented stuff only

friend = someone u share common hobbies or interests with
example play same game, same school, or go same ktv

colleague is colleague, they are never your friend.... smile to them but never tell them too much about yourself, do not show them your emotions and weaknesses

that's how I define la.. I may be wrong hahaha

Thanks guys for your input.

Well the reason why I started to sink into this question is because someone commented that she doesn't know whether do I treat her as colleague or friend...
