There are 12 Chinese zodiac animals sign in Chinese calendar (e.g. Dragon, tiger, pig, dog etc)

Fan tai sui means your zodiac animal clash with the heaven watchkeeper god

Very bad for u majority in terms of health, finance, career and love / rs

Do correct me if I'm wrong

So if u buy 1 lot of STI ETF, singapore economy will crash? So powerful!

Hi Master Leong, I'm new and wanna use my money to invest and have dividend. The intent is not to solely use this as income is more of a bonus to me quarterly/yearly.

I'm not sure where to starts. I'm think blue chips seems good but can be pricey. I have set aside a budget of 2k to invest.

Please share with me your pointers.

Thank you!

Well what will you do if you have such a big portfolio (once a month effort) and big recurring income? Do you live well or be furgal?

not too sure also.. currently very used to the current life style of about 1k expenses per month...

but if my passive income is more, will have more confidence to getting a wife
my hope is to start a family with 2 kids without the worries of finances

what about you?

for new investors I would mostly recommend buying the sti etf

maybe u can read up on how to do dollar cost averaging?

as your capital is limited, its difficult to purchase a few stocks to diversify... so the sti etf would fit more well to start off with

i myself started off a decade ago buying 2000 shares of sti etf

My advice is the same as ML......

DCA the sti etf over 10 months, split your $2k budget into $200 per month using the regular investment programme from POSB or OCBC :D

When I was young material things earned by my own means are important to me, something common within my circle. At a young age I understand the concept and the importance of money or rather the lack of it. However it is also important to live well.

So if I have 100k of passive income I will live well

TBH Wife not working and kids are super expensive here, you will also want to ensure they live well (not extravagant) you will be looking at 6k per month

I believe that ml has some side income monthly as well, not just the stocks or do you still continue your poker game? I think many are too focused on your 1k monthly expenses that they actually might "forget" your real income per month.
