hi guys just got the results of my bto application for Dakota Breeze 4-room flat.
772/671. i'm a first-timer with MCPS.
any idea if i can get a mid-floor unit? or it's something i should not even consider at this point?
what is the usual take up rate for such estates (popular, mature)?
If this article is relatively accurate, would i still be able to acquire a unit of my choice (6 floor and above)?
couldn't post the link but the headline of the ST article is [2 in 5 don't pick hdb flat after being shortlisted]
share your thoughts.

I'm also a first timer. But such a popular mature estates, I doubt people will give up for selection. Even though I m also hoping the dropout rate to be 5%-10% [estimated] ~

If 10% dropped out, first 603 couples can get a unit.

Mid floor really a bit hard, those at tail end within flat supply can probably still hope for level 5 at less popular stacks, 15 percent outside maybe a bit difficult.

10 percent drop out for mature and 30 for non mature is about right, again this is an average figure, there are barely any dropouts at the start and it accelerates after the two thirds mark or so.

haha so happy until i song. :D

understood how you feel now.
personally gotten 582/75x for Nov bto.
and 343/7xx for Feb bto
and now, 42. I also happy like siao as its in the central area.
go Marina bay work also 15 mins top. cab fare even got peak hour probably not even $10.
which means I don't have to leave my house in Punggol 75mins before I start work.

if at dakota, leave house 40mins earlier no problem.

Low to mid should have. You got to look at how the dropout rate is like. BTW this is my own opinion. I COULD BE WRONG.

Room size
2rm - no need to say. senior couples who have paid off their previous house, sells them and pay off the entire 2 rm flat. 2rm is also in competition with the singles.
3rm - very strong competition for senior folks because they can stay 1 room, rent the other out.
4rm - there are still takers, not as much as 5 room. Most of the couples think, if I can get 5 room, we shall not waste the 1 extra study room away.

Other factors (covered in other threads)
1. do note that in every ballots, there are applicants who have balloted in other projects too. so they could have chose a unit even though they are given a number.
2. some may choose not to come
3. some over slept.

Therefore, low to mid still possible, depends on your unit distribution. If you want those very good unit that has low floors only, then confirm no chance. But if that stack is high floor, may have a good chance to get low to mid.

cross finger and hope for the best. 2xx/187 marsiling grove! :o

Still have people who will drop out.. some after getting queue number realise price is too high, cannot manage the loan, cannot get dream unit etc etc. I think even those super popular ones like Dawson had 10% dropout rate

I'm also a first timer. But such a popular mature estates, I doubt people will give up for selection. Even though I m also hoping the dropout rate to be 5%-10% [estimated] ~
