Quick question guys.. I have got a crappy queue number for Nov 2016 BTO (almost 2 times the flat supply).. i thought there should be no chance for me already but I just checked my HDB page and noted that I have been given a date to select a flat (Low level #02 / #03) in Aug 2017.

Concurrently, I have another flat appointment in July 2017 for Feb 2017 BTO (got a good number) and a future flat appointment in late 2017 for May 2017 BTO (got a good number too). I'm intending the purchase the 4R flat under the May 2017 BTO and would give up the 3R flat under the Feb 2017 BTO due to practicality reasons (size and distance from parents' home).

Initially, I thought I'd just accumulate one non-selection count for giving up the Feb 2017 BTO... Now that I even have an appointment date scheduled for a crappy queue number under Nov 2016 BTO, if I intend to skip this selection as well, would I be disallowed to select my 4R flat under May 2017 BTO?

Appreciate if anyone can advise.
think you better ask the staff or call HDB.

my POV: because you reject 2nd time for nov 2016, its considered no more 2nd timer. but since you have the number for May 2017, i think you can still choose a unit.
btw, you very lucky already, don't waste it. some pple like me want also no have.

I called HDB to enquire months back.

1. We are allowed to apply to as many BTO releases as we want (technically 2-3 MAX since the 1st application's appt will be up by the 3rd application), however in the event we successfully select a unit for 1 of the release, the other applications will be auto rejected.
(You can manually reject it in the HDB portal, or simply dont turn up)

2. Deciding you want to book a flat in May'17 will not be affected by your rejection of Feb'17.

3. If memory serves, we have 2 strikes, and after the 3rd strike we will be blacklisted for 1 year.

I myself booked Feb'17 and have an appointment in August for Tampines, but i got a much better queue number for May'17

Which puts my appt somewhere in late August or Mid Sept, so i'm definitely rejecting my Feb'17 (just by simply not turning up)

The lady that attended to me, said i could choose to reject on the website, or just dont turn up. Since they wont be waiting for you, if you never actually go down to collect a queue #.

No worries there!:)

Drove past the bidadari site today and saw that the main con is chip eng seng (same as pinnacle@duxton). Any comments about their build quality?

I only got a good number on my 8th and 9th BTO application, so not considered very lucky sia... I've failed for nearly 3 years since Sept 2014.

Per HDB FAQ page, the status downgrade to 2nd timer seems to matter only if I'm gonna apply for another BTO flat after double rejection (Nov16 and Feb17 BTO). Probably like what you said, since I already got a queue number, I should be able to select a flat for May 2017 BTO. Thanks!

From HDB page:

The following will apply if you do not book a flat in a BTO/Sale of Balance Flats exercise on two occasions when you have a chance to do so:

For First-timer Households
Any additional chances accumulated from your past unsuccessful BTO attempts are considered used up. After accumulating two non-selection counts, your subsequent flat applications in our sales exercises will be placed in the second-timer category for one year. During the one-year period, if you turn down another two chances to book a flat, the one-year period will be extended, i.e. your subsequent flat applications will be placed in the second-timer category for one year from the date of your last non-selection of flat.

CES did a couple of prestige projects and It will be awesome if they were doing hillside. However, they were awarded in 2016 for the woodleigh glen/village if im not wrong. Ours seems to be contract 10 - 12 and I cannot find any information who it was awarded to online.

The whole area (glen+village+hillside) was barricaded, could it be possible that ces is building 3 projects?

So far I cannot find information as to who was awarded with contract 10-12. But it was over the net when CES was awarded with 8&9. Shall wait it out and see. Frm what i understand there is only an approx of 1k units for 8&9 and abt 1.3k+ units for 10-12. I do hope that they were the ones that won hillside tho! Since they won 6&7 too

Potentially, sure, cos currently whats happening on the 3 sites are the piping/drainage works from what i gather.

ETA Q2 2018, that means actual construction of blocks wont happen till after that

Lets hope its sooner, presently can't wait for them to announce appointment dates and more details!

You should be quite right. The land for all three sites are fenced up for ground prep works by another contract. My Marsiling project is also fenced up, and its ground prep is combined with the adjacent site that has yet to launch.

Civil works for BTOs typically would be put up for tender about two months after its sales launch, and awarded about two months after the tender closes (they stay open for a month plus).

Thanks! I'll call up HDB to confirm that 2 non selection counts do not affect the third selection count if I am already given a number.

The sms I deleted le. Because too upset. This is the ss for my hdb page

looks weird to me. especially with the ZO before your number. u might be applying under some scheme or something ( that we are unaware ) - suggest you call HDB and clarify. I had just checked mine, there is no "ZO" before my queue number

Can let me know where did u get the information from regarding the award of the contract for Nov 16 bidadari woodleigh glen/village.

What does the number means?
