When i Choose the SBF tab, the error message is "you are not eligible for this flat" whilst no issue if I choose the BTO application. Is SBF only for those without a HDB flat now?

My parents is staying in a HDB now, want to downgrade to a 2 room.

Will like to kindly get some advice on this. I'm helping my elderly aunty apply for a SOB 2-rm flexi. She won't be taking any loan to pay for the purchase. So how do I go about settling this HFE Letter thingy? So I still need to do that?

i think at this time is better to go down to hdb to settle directly given the amount of time left.

Yes , need to. hFE letter is required to buy new or resale HDB

my appointment is at 2pm. Managed to complete the application around 430pm.

The customer service officer encountered the same error as I did. They couldnt figure out why the system blocked my parents from applying though they are eligible. So they use another 'route" to help them apply. I asked why so and he mentioned could be due to the system change to cater for the HFE process.

I have spoken to a few officers over the phone on HFE and SBF application issues. I appreciate it that they were helpful and patient. The staff at HDB hub were the same. I can see that many of them are stressed and tired but they still tried their best to help. HDB should be proud of their staff.

My feedback to HDB:
1. Don't introduce new policy or changes just before sales launch date. Many applicants were caught off guard.
2. For any system change, please do a proper UAT before implementation.

Sir thru thought they are in pte sector with competent IT support and project management to launch some new initiatives within a short period of time. Those UAT end user should scream for all errors during UAT

Yes. But they'll still let you apply and then auto void. So $10 donation.

Hence it is best to check applicate rate first before applying. But some ppl dont check and straightaway apply.

If too little flats, 2nd timers cannot apply.
If you still kumgong go apply, then they would just eat your $10. So far haven't heard of such cases, the website seems quite clear.

It's about time HDB get their act together for good instead of blaming everyone else except themselves. End of the day, it's always the peasants that suffer, every single time.
