I was on cross carriage n recently sign up the action value pack... u can check that out. I find it no brained if u need EPL... just a little bit more money for a lot more content.

N with the action value pack, allows me to get the 1GB fiber plan with the 8 months free promo

I'm able to get 1080p or at least that's what my TV is telling me

OK, it's official. Singtel do not have any 1080p programming. They only do 1080i. We seem to be stuck in the 1990's. Can anyone confirm if Starhub does true HD please?

I have a 4K tv and had singtel tv before, 1080i/p looks the same to me leh, it doesn't really compromise the visual satisfaction apart from a slight difference in frame rate bah..

Hi all,
Hope to get some help here. I've just bought an LG EG920T OLED tv (which is 4k). I've just found out that the signal output from the Mio TV box as detected by the TV is only 1080i even though it says 1080p in the resolution settings on the STB.
When I change the output on the box and change back to 1080p, the TV briefly picks up 1080p 24hz and then defaults back to 1080i.
The Singtel tech came. Tried another box with the same issue and then said that the box is not compatible with new TVs! If that is the case, then I find no reason to stick with Singtel anymore.
Tested on a number of HD channels
Can anyone help, please?

I have this exact same problem too !

HDMI CEC

Does anyone know if any of the Singtel Box has HDMI CEC?
I owned the motorola box which do not have. Recently changed to the Cisco ones but still no joy.

Anyone knows if the DVR version has HDMI CEC?

From what I'm aware, Singtel tv set top boxes do not support consumer electronics control.. :(

My aged set up box is down finally; cannot power on at all.

The remote buttons has stickly issue as well; when I press the buttons, eg 2, it either failed to register or registered too many times and became '222'.

Anyone encounter this remote issue with the recent set up box? Any new enhancement to the recent box itself?

cannot power on might be adapter faulty. moreover, your remote controller can exchange for a new one at selected singtel retail shops leh. i exchanged mine when the battery leaked and corroded the contacts of my remote..

have you called 1688 to arrange a tech to do a site visit? they could take a video and reflect to the technical team..

for once i had a fuzzy screen and it only appears once in a while, the tech asked me for a video and they rectified after a week, pointing to the particular hardware replaced in the set top box..

Thanks for the suggestion.

Got the setup box replaced with a new one. The new remote seems to be better in registering with better tactile feel. Hopefully it stays this way.

Anyway, I was told that there are only 3 locations to replace the setbox box; 313, Ubi (both are 3rd party service centre) and Causeway Point (hello shop). Hope this helps for those who want to replace their boxes.

Anyone got any discount from re-contracting their singtel TV lately?
Hi r0_ger,

If you're referring to our Singtel TV with fibre broadband promos, we do have the following options:

(1) $44.90 on 1Gbps fibre broadband with family starter sign-up
(2) Free 8 months 1Gbps fibre broadband with value pack sign-up

If you're interested to sign up or have other queries, do drop us a private message with your contact details and account information.

Thank you and TGIF! :)

Hi,

My family recently re-contracted and my mum and sister discovered to their dismay that some channels (notably KBS World) that used to exist with the old subscription were not accessible on the new subscription (Family Starter).

Could you please advise on why this is so?

Thanks.

Certain channels may have ceased the moment you recontract based on the current channels provided in family starter pack.

Singtel tv has the tendency to change channels periodically and that all channels provided in the past will not be continued if the current provided channel list does not have it..

1688 is the best to consult for such issue as they have access to your subscription details while we don't. :)

I am eligible to recontract my singtel fibre home entertainment bundle.

Currently playing $69.90 for 500 Mbps fibre + singtel tv "family +".

I am currently subscribing to starhub and didn't even connect mioTV set top box. :s13: But with the cost of starhub plans rising, I am planning to stick entirely to singtel for all the bundle discounts including the singtel circle and annual handset upgrade.

Based on current offerings, i am looking at recontracting with jingxuan basic pack and 500 Mbps fibre, and then cancel starhub tv.

The main channels we watch on our starhub tv are: Nat Geo/discovery, chinese variety entertainment (jacky wu shows) and badminton.

There are a few problems with singtel tv:

1) No badminton action in any of the listed sports package. (world sports +)

2) Cannot mix Jingxuan starter pack with Education channels in Family Starter pack. Seems like I have to sign the $57.90 jingxuan trio. Way too expensive and inflexible:s22:

Is there anyway to mix jingxuan with just one basic education group from family starter? I hope i can ditch starhub for good... And it still isn't a perfect solution/combination. I still have to look for badminton websites to stream. :s22:
