Hi,

1. Is Singtel silver set top box full HD? 1080p? I just upgraded my HD ready TV to a full HD TV but I do not see the 1080p screen resolution in the settings.

2. Is there any way I can change to a new set top box? I find that it is lagging especially when compared to the new set top box I experience in my friend's house.

1. i think only on 1080i.

2. different models come with different features, such as DVR etc, depending on what the services you signed up for. you won't be able to replace the set top box unless its deemed faulty. the motorola set top box is slightly laggy, but won't be that lag to the extend of frustration leh.

1. The Silver Motorola one can only output 1080i at best. The black Cisco one can output at 1080p.

2. I had my silver Motorola one exchanged to the black Cisco one.

Singtel tv can't start. Stuck at the "please ensure is connected to modem... almost done loading" screen.

check if the cables are properly connected.

if not, make sure you start the equipments sequentially. meaning from ONT to router then singtel tv set top box..

Hi I found out the reason singtel box cable needs to go go lan port 4. =_= voip to go to port 3. After plugging in lan cable to port 4 it worked. I kept port 3 unused though.

If that's the case, likely you have selected singtel-mio profile. You should be selecting singtel others profile so that port 123 can be used for LAN devices and port 4 for singtel TV.

Is there a need to reset up connection again? Is ok to leave it as singtel-mio profile just that port 3 is unused? My port 1 n 2 are currently being used for lan devices. Port 4 singteltv.

No issue with that. You don't even have to reset the router if you wanna change the iptv profile. The router will simply just reboot and be up in less than 3 minutes.

You may just leave it if it's not a hassle..

Volume on AV amp down

After recontracting, I opted for a new plan/modem that enables recording. The first set had a problem. Changed to new one. Now, whenever I change channels, the volume on my Yamaha AV amp keeps going off. I need to switch off the modem and/or amp to get back the sound from my amp. Its also the same when I switch hdmi ports on my tv. Switching from a port for my iptv set to the set top box will cause a loss of volume on my TV! I have to switch off my TV. During the visit by Singtel techician, I was advised to chnage back to the old modem, ie without recording. The problem is whether I can change the plan I signed up for!

wow. this is bizarre.

its gonna be difficult to diagnose this issue on this platform. perhaps lets start from the ground.

State your set top box model?

secondly, audio and visual from set top box should be carried by HDMI right to your tv? is it ok you shoot a picture of your set top box connection? just take a snapshot of whats connected will do.

thirdly, which router were you provided?

Cisco ISB 2200 Infrared

Hi,
Anyone has any idea which infrared (remote control receiver) frequency range does the Cisco ISB 2200 operate on?
I've tried to use a IR extender that operates in the 34khz-60khz and it does not seems to work.
Could it be using the RCMM?
Any information will be greatly appreciated.

I'm using a Philips TV and suddenly yesterday there was no sound only picture on the TV. Am using Singtel TV on fibre broadband.

Anyone knows if it's HDMI cable problem or Singtel broadband issue?

If you can use Internet, then it's not a broadband issue.

Try to change to another cable first?

If not, check your volume settings..

are you using the default singtel tv router? which model is that?

which set top box is that?

for me i had used singtel tv before i hopped onto the unlimited fibre wagon, my experience was so far so good. I wasn't using the default singtel gateway though, so perhaps the router might have an impact on the streaming experience.
