Hi. Currently on StarHub but going to switch to MioTV soon with 2 set top boxes. My fiber termination location had Ethernet cable wired to all rooms, thus I believe I will be given a Singtel ONR, then Ethernet cables to the 2 set top boxes.

Can I use my own existing wireless mesh devices to connect to the Singtel ONR for WLAN, instead of renting Singtel wireless mesh since my setup box will be able to have a direct connection to the ONR? Currently the wireless mesh is connected to port 1 of starhub ONT (which I will be canceling upon Singtel activation), not using starhub wireless router at all.

Hi I am having some issues with my Singtel Fibre network as I am preparing to get my Mio TV next week.

My Singtel Fibre setup is this:

ONT --> Asus RT AC87 U --> PC/Devices Etc

My ASUS RT AC87 U is on this ASUSWRT Merlin firmware: 384.7_2

I tried switching my Lan (IPTV) setting to Singtel Mio or Singtel Others, but for some strange reason I am unable to get an IP address from my WAN.

The error message is that the ISP DHCP Server does not function properly. However, when I change the Lan IPTV setting to none, I am able to get an IP address.

What is going on? Really confused right now.

TIA

Seems like yours is the Unlimited fibre.

Once they activated the mio tv next week then you will need to use the isp profile in order to work

I was on unlimited a few years back. But in recontracted to the normal singtel broadband a 2 years ago. They haven't switch my profile. That's strange

My Mio tv was doing fine until last week it started to freeze up. Until now it still not resolve.

Waiting for contractor to lay new cable to see whether it is my cable faulty or not. If not, then it is their mio tv box. If still freeze mean I don't know how singtel going to solve it.

likely is the router they using i guess. if not the set top box. cable usually won't spoil if you don't keep plugging in and out. HAHA.

take a chill pill, this type of fault very easily diagnosed..

Old router is Asus RT88 then they say mine router not good, they change to a new singtel router and the freeze even worst than using Asus RT88 router.

Change ONT to ONR also the same. And there is no packet loss from internet connection.
