Only the older 80g Motorola DVRs has component. The newer 500g Cisco and Tatung no longer has it.

The Cisco and Tatung non-DVR STBs also do not have Component output. Is it correct.
So only Motorola DVR and non-DVR STBs come with both HDMI and Component?

Only Motorola brands DVR and Motorola non DVR models has both. Non DVR Cisco and Tatung also does not have component too.

To me, all are stable and the boot up takes less than 2 mins after powering up the boxes fr the gateway (connected n online).

Personally, for DVR models, I prefer the Tatung ones as they have navigation buttons on the front panel of the DVR Box.

How about hd picture quality between the 2? I read that tatung caters to hdmi 1.3 since its been around during for quite some time during the 1.3 era.now its 1.4a and 2.0 is coming out anytime now.

Not much difference in picture quality between the two. For HDMI 1.4a or 2.0, it will take some time for STB manufacturers to implement them.

You managed to request for swop? Can try saying you need a slimmer box due to space issues.....

The rule is cannot give discount right? They never say stinknet cannot give you extra freebies on top of what they are already offering tio boh.

They have to admit that they got it all wrong with this MioTV. Not to mention their crap customer service which only improved recently. Now that they must share the BPL rights, who want to take up their boxes? Only a few good channels and Starhub have almost all the channels and much more.
