Hi everyone, I currently just moved house. My previous mio tv setup was via am adsl connection, I recontracted and switched to fiber tv at my new place. However due to netlink trust cock up with opening the second optical port at my new place, I am stuck without mio tv for the next 2 months and the epl season is starting lol.

Suggestions other than chromecast(that's my last resort) anyone?

Anyone have problem with singtel tv go app with chromecast?

Specifically, only have problem with one channel. Fox movie ch414 cannot be chromecasted but can view on iphone/ipad sceeen. It says i'm not subscribed to this channel. All other channels are fine with chromecast.

Hi guys,

Not sure if this is a silly question. If I get MioTV from Singtel but Fibre from Starhub/M1, does this mean both ports on the fibre termination point need to be activated?

Thanks. Does this mean getting 2 ports turned on is more troublesome since everything has to be done twice?

I'm comparing the 1Gbps plans from Singtel $59.90 and M1 $39.90, and I am trying to understnad why is M1's so much cheaper.

different provider will have different technology for fibre deployment, and that translated to the cost for consumers.

what you get from singtel is a 24hrs support for its router and 1-1 replacement when its faulty. comparing to m1, you have to go to the 3rd party service centre to get your replacement for asus router should it be faulty.

if you are looking to singtel tv subscription, you can actually have the singtel circle privilege in which your singtel mobile numbers will enjoy discount off subscriptions and a sunday free 4G. Singtel circle works when you have a singtel fibre and a singtel tv subscription altogether in one account.

....Singtel circle...

Thanks. I'll have to decide if the $20 savings is worth the added benefits from Singtel.

Can't do Singtel circle as I am still contracted to M1 mobile.

Another silly question.

If I get both Singtel fibre and mio TV, does this degrade the fibre signal since both will be sharing one port? As in will the broadband be slower or mio signal be bad?

Hamas silly boy... of course not.

Our fibre deployment is way capable than running SingTel tv with a fibre service yo..

Yes. There's issue with home view in iphone/ipad, freeze screen when the phone is in idle mode and unable to press any channels in Samsung android. Some channels can watch but it is almost 2 weeks now. It happens after the app update. Disappointed.
