Whats the difference between SINGTEL Channel on Demand vs TV GO

hi guys

I will be having SINGTEL Fibre and gotten a new Smart TV. SINGTEL was offering 5 free channels and thus they will come to my house next week.

Having interest in exploring further channels, I am confuse between SINGTEL GO- many channels at cheaper price vs MIO Channels - selective channels with more expensive price.

Thanks in advance for advice

Received notification of Netlink Trust doing fibre maintenance early Wednesday morning 1-6am. Does that mean champions league matches will be impacted on Singtel TV? Not good leh...

I think the Singtel TV GO is an additional charge

So awesome. Singtel has acquired the History Channel suite of channels. Free trial now, and free thereafter for those who subscribed to the higher end packages.

Now i just want Singtel to have HBO as well to make it perfect for me

Hi asking all experts out there..

Currently I’m using SH fibre and is interested in signing up the SingTel TV. I understand that the SingTel TV will be using another ONT that will be connected to Port 2 the Termination Point.

The question here is, I’m living in a new BTO where the termination point is situated together with the circuit breaker box near the door. In my current setup for SH Fibre internet, the SH ONT is connected to the Termination Point 1 and the output is connect via a Ethernet cable to a data point which I believe is linked to the data point outlet near my TV area.

Since there is only one data point outlet in both ends of the connection, how will my installation of SingTel TV be like since it will require a similar connect to that of starhub? Will I be using a splitter in both ends to connect 2 ethernet cables into one data point, or additional trunking is required?

you cannot split rj45 connection, this is a technical requirement.

The only way for you to use singtel tv is to trunk another cable from your circuit breaker area to your tv area.

Placing a managed switch with VLAN support at both ends, ie 2 managed switches and you can get away with 1 Ethernet connection for the usage scenario.

Is it possible to exchange my current set up box $4.90/month for a newer one?

It seems like they updated the OS a year or 2 years ago and that "Channel Guide" button no longer works on the remote.

If it's not working on your unit, it won't work for others as well if it's os related.

I don't think you can exchange for a newer model if one is working fine. You can choose to upgrade to dvr model if you like though.

I had singtel tv for several years before terminating, but the remote controllers I changed about 3 times due to malfunction and the set top box once when it failed to boot up.

Maybe it's the controller issue?

power adapter is covered by singtel throughout the service, regardless of any equipment supplied by singtel..

of cos, if its broken by you then its chargeable, depending on the technician who is coming..

To terminate the MioTV (contract ended long ago), do I just head down to either Tampines Mall, Causeway Point or Jurong Point and is the termination done over the counter?
