Singtel , my Lenovo tablet (already updated to latest patch) and also Lenovo Windows desktop also shows Wi-Fi connected but no internet available .... even though internet LED is lighted on the A.C. Elite router with TV STB working. It's very obvious the A.C. Elite and A.C. Plus are flawed. Should you not offers other replacement router models for all of us affected? Maybe the Razer Portal Wi-Fi router? You should not claim it's an OS issue with our devices and conveniently close the case correct? And I assume you are still missing out all these problem routers to news subscribers correct? Please clarify. Thanks.

Are your phones able to connect to the router and has Internet access?

Hi RSKeisuke,

Kindly download the latest patch from Google.

On a side note, we are aware of the Wi-Fi connectivity issues since March 2018 and understand thatthis does not only affect Singtel routers

Let us know if you have other questions.

Can you advise what patch you are referring to? Other than the monthly update from Google. My handset is already running 5th May update.

Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) for my office use, when i pick it up randomly to check emails or use for surfing, Shows Wi-Fi connected but no internet .... Have to switch off Wi-Fi and on again for it to get connected.

Renfred - would u know if the Asus RT-AC86U and RT-AC68U can work wif Singtel TV?

Try pushing the reset button on your router to make sure wireless settings not messed up.. Then try again. I also using the AC elite router as an ap, didn't encounter your WiFi issue with 3 4 devices connected..

Asus routers generally can support Singtel tv including the 2 models u mentioned..

Hi chuppachop,

Let us clarify on the following:

Our reply (Post #3302) is in response to RSKeisuke's case of his Google Pixel 2 XL having Wi-Fi connectivity issues with our router and Winterhearts' question on whether it is a Google or Singtel issue.

We believe our reply does not cover all Wi-Fi connectivity issues encountered by other forum members (including you) in the forum. We also believe our reply does not imply that all other Wi-Fi connectivity issues experienced by forum members here are due to device OS issues.

Wi-Fi connectivity issues can be caused by a variety of factors (e.g. hardware/software issue, location of router) and reasons, which is why we have been following up with individual customers via private message to find out more.

For your case, we will be sending you a private message to get your account details. A technician visit may be arranged based on our assessment of your feedback.

Thank you.

try forgetting the profile on your phone and set up again.

does it happen to all devices connected to singtel router?

Do you mean forget the wifi network and re-adding it?

My huawei p9 affected too.. its whatsapp backup keeps saying waiting for wifi even when its connected.

Need to check if my other family members are affected too...

The wifi backup keeps failing on WhatsApp is normal. I guess it's due to the same group of WiFi bug for the latest software

What happens is that the device enters into WiFi power saving mode and couldnt establish Internet until the phone is waking up. I'm using linksys router and it's happening to me too.

Maybe you can try to make sure your router is okay by doing basic troubleshooting while waiting for Samsung to update the software?

Singtel, since you are here, may I ask why my STB reflect Err1 sometimes?
resetting sometimes works but sometimes not. 1st time notice was on 18 May, it works after a few resets but there was problem again a few days ago but it was working well again after reset

Sorry another question.
How many ports on ONR can we use?
Eg. ONR P1 - Lan 1 input - output to Router
ONR P2 - Lan 2 input - output to MioTv
ONR P3 - Lan 3 input - output to PC etc

Does it work this way too?
In this case, can eliminate one redundancy.
If the unmanaged switch down, all network down. :s13:

thats right, only AP will work well with ONR, and ONR does have a DHCP server for issuing IP address.

which AP to use, you go decide by reading around, cos too many options already..

jus to update my Err1 STB. called 1688 in the morning, same old SOP, ask to turn off/switch on router, ONT, blah, blah, blah, ask u to monitor if got error than call again BUT I skip the monitoring part & ask them to book for technician. Field Engineer Rilham came in the afternoon, understand the problem, says Err1 is firmware problem, if STB not change, one fine day, STB will just stop working. He change the STB on the spot, make sure it's working, I sign & of course was told to monitor for a few days. Rilham was very friendly throughout the whole process.

Hi, if I read your question correctly, 1 TV box for 1 TV only. If you want broadcast to your other TVs, you need to rent another box.

singtel tv comes in packs of channels. depending on what you subscribe to, different packs will have different channels packaged as one set, but some packs will have overlapping channels with other packs.

heres the link: http://www.singteltv.com.sg/price-plan.asp

you can subscribe to singtel tv only yet you can have the freedom to use another ISP. but do note that singtel tv will have a set of equipments that are not shared with another ISP, likewise for other ISPs not sharing with singtel equipments.

Hi guys, had to dig up an old reply. I just recontracted my singtel tv but chose to terminate my singnet fibre and sign up with M1 instead. Before I did that, I asked both singtel and M1 if I am still able to watch the singtel tv based on this arrangement and both told me it’s possible.

Fast forward 7 days, I can’t watch singtel tv anymore(supposed SingNet terminated my fibre already) and on-screen error told to check my connection.

Currently for my STB, it’s connected in this manner:

TP -> ONT -> router, STB is connected to router via lan cable.

My M1 fibre is running on an separate TP. Will need help on troubleshooting with the connection for my STB.

Many thanks!!

May I assume you still have the Singtel ont and router? If so, you can safely ditch the singtel router and connect the STB to singtel's ont. STB will not work on m1 ont just in case you got the connection wrong.

Also, do check with Singtel if the Singtel tv is still have an active subscription..

Hi Redfred. Thanks for helping. I still have singtel’s modem and router with me. I did the connection as advised and followed the on-screen instructions: power off modem and STB -> power on modem first and make sure it’s authenticated -> power on STB.

Now the screen keep telling me loading is almost done and Ensure that my modem is powered on and connected to STB. The connection from STB to modem is via lan cable?

Also tried calling singtel but forever can’t get through.

Do you have a screenshot? The description towards the end is somewhat unclear..

STB should be connected via cable to router if you are using an ont.

Hi Singtel,

I'm trying to load up my Singtel Go TV app to my TV (Samsung) via chromecast, but it just shows the singtel logo and a loading circular dot on the TV. I waited 30mins but it's still stuck on that screen. All other apps (netflix, youtube..etc) work perfectly fine.

Whats the problem here?
