Hey thanks for the reply. Mine is definitely a Singtel ONT. Say so on the box. I had a free 2-month SingtelTV trial last year and the technician was able to set up the Singtel TV box in the living room without any problem. I think it was ONT -> Asus router -> cat5e -> switch -> TV box, but I can't be sure now.

The problem now is that I want to watch TV in the bedroom too but I think my Asus router only allows Lan port 4 to be configured for Singtel IPTV.

Your suggestion gave me an idea. Anyone can advise if this will work?

ONT/ONR(??) port 2 -> cat5e -> bedroom switch -> TV box & other devices
ONT/ONR(??) port 1 -> Asus router (AP mode if ONR) port 4 -> cat5e -> living room switch -> TV box & other devices
Asus router port 1 -> cat5e -> study switch -> other devices

On a separate note, how much did you pay for the 2nd TV box and any additional subscription costs?

If u are going to use 2 STB, I guess that will change your ONT to an ONR. As long as u have cat6 cable running in the house to where u want to place the STB, no need to worry.

Additional STB is at $5.90 per month.

if i would like to return the setup box, can i go all singtel outlets?

you will need to call singtel 1688 and inform them of your intention to terminate and then later proceed to return the STB at any of their hello singtelshop (not exclusive retailers)

I’m also using m1 broadband at home, thinking of getting mio tv. Does this mean that as long as we have a fibre point available it’s possible?

I tagging my parents one since Singtel tv cannot be tagged in M1 broadband and you guys don’t offer free installation for fibre point for Singtel tv

You should have 2 ports. The OpenNet terminal point that your modem is connected to using optical cable would have 2 outputs.

Yes that right. If you are signing another ISP for internet deployment, then second port activation could be free as part of the contract. But solely for singtel tv, user might need to pay though, not too sure of the rules now.

Hi folks, I'm currently on starhub and quite keen to switch to Singtel Mio TV. But i have a problem. I need 2 TV box, one for living rm, and one for room. The living room has a network point, but my room has no network point where i put the tv box.

Does MIO TV box comes wireless? Or is there any other options such taht i can have a 2nd box in my bedroom?
