Hi tazmic,

Great to know you're interested in signing up for Singtel TV.

If you're looking for Cantonese movies and drama, you may wish to consider cHK (Singtel TV CH 510) which you can enjoy in 100% original Cantonese audio. Catch some of the best recent Hong Kong films and original TV series on this channel that is only on Singtel TV.

In addition, there are Singtel exclusives Jia Le Channel (CH 502) and e-Le (CH 11 / 501) which offers many fresh and popular drama and variety series from China, Korea and Taiwan.

The entire suite of Discovery channels is also available only with us.

If you're looking for the above plus Premier League action, you can consider the Jingxuan Value Pack which offers more than 100 channels in all.

If you'd like our sales team to contact you with offers for your consideration, do PM us your name and contact no., thanks.

I'm inclined to switch to Mio Tv given that i can get the trio pack with EPL at a cost so much lower than with SH. But i have a small problem. Browsing through the channels, i can't seem to find anything on TVB shows like SH has on 855? Any one can verify that.

No TVB on SingTel TV. If you do not need Live TV, you can subscribe to TCB Anywhere SG for legitimate streaming of TVB content. Premium zone is at S$5.98 per months.

https://www.tvbanywhere.com.sg/

A bit of problem though if you want to use it on TV -- the app is mainly meant for mobile phones and not working on official Android TV OS device like those Sony smart TV or Mi Box S or NVidia Shield TV, and it does not support Chromecast.

If you need live TV, the only legitimate mean I know is through Starhub now.

Can this be installed on iPad? And then stream it to TV via apple tv or something? Not sure how this would work.

iPad will work but no Airplay to TV. No idea why so much restrictions for TVB Anywhere SG. Looks like they just want you to use Starhub if you need to use TV.

https://www.tvbanywhere.com.sg/faq.html

Q6) CAN I WATCH TVB ANYWHERE SG PROGRAMS VIA OTHER DEVICES BY USING STREAMING TECHNOLOGY (E.G. MIRACAST, AIR PLAY, ETC.)?

A6) Subscribers can only watch TVB Anywhere SG programs by using TVB Anywhere SG App through suitable mobile device.

Just checked with ST. The offer is only when you’re the cable and cable internet (Not fibre)with either M1 or Starhub then you can switch over to ST and get the 24 months free internet. And same thing to SH if you want to get the 24months free fibre internet.

Just an update.

Someone else on Starhub Fibre BB has reported that he was offered 10 months free internet.

So maybe the conditions for 24 months free internet is a little fluid. :s22:

Thinking of jumping bandwagon to SingtelTV. A couple of questions though:

1) I only require Entertainment, Education, Lifestyle & Music, News, Food & Leisure groups. Should I go for Family Lifestyle starter pack and then add in Education group (can one do that??) or just go with the Family Starter and get Kids group which I don't need?

2) Can I add one of the add-ons e.g. World Sports+ later down the line and then terminate just that group a month or so later? I'm thinking i just need that for Wimbledon season. Currently, I can do that with Starhub. Is there any minimum subscription period for add-on channels?

Thanks!

http://www.singteltv.com.sg/_pdf/generic-tnc.pdf

On page 6 and 7, wireless home bridge is mentioned.

Basically this wireless home bridge enables singtel tv signal to be broadcasted from point A to B (where your non DVR set top box is) wirelessly. It only serves the singtel tv service and not internet, which means you can't connect wifi from it.

This wireless bridge is subjected to the same wifi interference and that they recommended suitable placement only if you see the signal level is high. I have yet to try this personally but i guess i will still prefer cable. :D

sadly my home cannot go cable...mrs don't want drilling....so when i saw this option....mrs agree and we confirm with ST they cannot threaten our home will drilling...if FE onsite state cannot install through cable they will have to provide us with wireless bridge...for free as indicated

I suggest you check with singtel on this before the installation date. FE will not give you anything extra that is not indicated on the job order list and hopefully with this, you can circumvent any potential issue during installation.

you keep brochure also no use. your order summary, which they should also give you a copy, if not should be sent to your email inbox, should also indicate clearly one.

I every add-on applied/terminated, you also will send me the updated summary.

You better rake up the summary paper man..
