After swapping my old silver setup box to the new DVR black setup box, I get intermittent freeze frames and pixelations + lag. It plays fine initially but after 30 mins to 1 hr, the problems start. Lag, freeze and pixelation. I did a recording on a 3am Football game but end up cannot watch cause of the same issue. Called 1688 tech support who told me to reset everything. Does not help cause it still happens. Is it the new setup box issue?

Hi,

I would like to ask question on SingTel TV (On-The-GO, Plan 1):

1) Can I install and register the same account login on 3 different mobile devices?

2) At any one time, there can be only be 1 mobile device assessing SingTel TV GO, while the rest of the 2 device cannot assess, cannot watch, correct?

3) If say I’m on Action value pack for 2 months(24mths contract) and would like to move to a Jingxuan value package, can it be done? Does it constitute a contract break with penalty? If so, the new Jingxuan value package 24mths starts from the point of switch or start from the initial 2mths ago point?

4) This 510 cHK channel is inside Jingxuan starter or not?

Thank you always.

Hi yooooz,

Thanks for checking.

If the data point is next to your TV console, that should work to connect the Singtel ONR (which is likely near your main door) to your Singtel TV set-top box (next to your TV).

Otherwise, subject to our field engineer's assessment and recommendation, the wireless home bridge or additional cabling may be viable solutions as well.

Do let us know if you'd like to our sales colleagues to be in touch with a Singtel TV offer for your consideration.

Hi, ok please contact me. Like to sign up.
Thank you.

Hi WWE_Fan,

Correct! Hope everyone enjoys the FREE preview next week of over 150 channels, including Premier League games on mio Stadium, HBO and FOX movie channels, as well as Discovery channels on Singtel TV, Singtel TV GO and CAST!

https://www.facebook.com/singtel/videos/362874494660073/

Dear Singtel, is there any package for mio tv subscribers for CAST? Would prefer that as it supports streaming on windows devices unlike singtel tv go which is very much limited.

SINGAPORE - Fans of Cantonese entertainment will now have more options on Singtel offerings as the telco will be bringing channels from TVB, the leading broadcaster in Hong Kong, to its services for the first time.

TVB Jade (Channel 511) and TVB Xing He (Channel 517) will launch with a free preview from Sept 9 to Oct 8.

Local viewers will experience the same TVB Jade as Hong Kong viewers, with its full slate of dramas and variety programmes available in original Cantonese audio.

TVB Jade is part of Singtel TV's new Canto add-on pack, available at the launch special of

$0.90 monthly, discounted from the regular price of $4.90. TVB Xing He will be added to Jingxuan packs at no extra charge. A Jingxuan starter pack costs $29.90 per month.

Customers can sign up for the new Canto add-on pack from Friday (Aug 23) via Singtel. The Canto pack also includes cHK Cantonese video-on-demand service offering Hong Kong movies, variety and drama. Existing subscribers of cHK (Channel 510) will enjoy TVB Jade channel at no additional cost.

Currently, TVB channels are available on StarHub.

Upcoming dramas on TVB Jade include Agent C9 starring Kenneth Ma, Death By Zero led by Wayne Lai and Moses Chan and a variety series Do Did Eat hosted by Carol Cheng. On TVB Xing He, fans can relive classic favourites such as To Catch the Uncatchable (2004) starring Dayo Wong and Ada Choi and 2011's Only You with Kevin Cheng and Kristal Tin.

TVB's streaming service - the TVB Anywhere app - will also be added to Singtel Cast, Singtel's video streaming platform, later this year.

Mr Yuen Kuan Moon, CEO of consumer Singapore, Singtel, says TVB is "a welcome addition to the Singtel TV family".

Mr Mark Lee, executive director and group CEO of TVB says: "For many years, our viewers in Singapore have enjoyed our shows, and with this partnership, we look forward to elevating our fans' engagement and experiences to the next level."

Hi Polygon_21,

Thank you for asking.

Our TV product team shared that they are currently working on enabling streaming of Singtel TV GO on PC browsers. When the upgrade is complete and launched, they will update the Singtel TV website to announce.

For now, CAST is the only option that enables streaming on PCs at cast.sg.

Thank you for your patience.

Hi eD|t|0n

Apologies for the late reply, here are the answers from our TV product team:

1) Can I install and register the same account login on 3 different mobile devices?

You can do so in the Singtel TV GO app under ‘Settings’ => ‘Device Manager’.

2) At any one time, there can be only be 1 mobile device assessing Singtel TV GO, while the rest of the 2 device cannot assess, cannot watch, correct?

Under Singtel TV GO Plan 1, you can stream on one mobile device and access another in Home view simultaneously. Refer to our Singtel TV GO website for more details.

You can switch from Action Value to Jingxuan Value. As this is considered an upgrade, there will be no penalty, but you will start a fresh 24 month contract at the point of upgrade.

4) This 510 cHK channel is inside Jingxuan starter or not?

cHK CH 510 is part of the new Canto pack which will also include TVB Jade CH 511, available for sign up at $0.90 monthly from Singtel.com/TVB. cHK is not in Jingxuan Starter.

Hope this clarifies, thanks.

SingTel TV works with either Mesh or Wireless Bridge. You can talk to them for more details. SingTel may need to send technician to your place to see if the wireless bridge is suitable or not.

hi...

may i know what frequency is used for singtel tv transmission. i would like to have singtel tv in the bedrooms. there is not any data point in bedrooms other than coaxial points which will be converted to data point using moca technology. the option of wifi mesh and whb have been ruled out by singtel field engineer, and i would rather not go the way of surface trunking. knowing the tv transmission frequency will help me make better informed choices. thanks.

You do not need to know the low level data transfer mechanism like the frequency.

I believe MOCA is not officially supported by SingTel TV so you are on your own. You can ask in the MOCA thread to be sure. I tend to think it will work since it can reach near Gigabit Ethernet performance whereas SingTel TV will work fine with 100M Ethernet.

Hi Borckster,

MoCA (Multimedia over Coax Alliance) technology specification is not officially endorsed for use in Singapore. As a result, we do not currently support the use of MoCA.

Our current WIFI Mesh offerings are able to support wireless connections to regular, non-DVR Singtel TV set-top box. We recommend wired connections to the DVR set-top box for optimal results in recording content.

However, do note that depending on the layout, build and size of your premises, there is the possibility that more than one pair of Mesh units may be required to deliver WIFI sufficient coverage.

Thanks.

will singtel on this forum help with an answer.

I went to return the singtel tv box and terminate my subscription, but was offered a flat $12.45 for family starter pack, I.e. no setup box rental. Was offer I couldn't resist. Anyone also got this? Seems their business is really bad and they want to retain customers. It's not for new sign ups, according to the lady.

There are only 4 locations island wide to return setup box. In east it is Tampines mall, Central is Exeter Road. Cant remember the west and north is which place. I went to Tampines Mall.

wow.. i plan to do early termination as well and just pay for the charges. unlikely to take up such a good offer as nobody is watching miotv at all.
