Hi. Singtel TV Go only possible if using Singtel issued MESH AP? I am using my own Orbi RBK353. MioTV works fine, but when I want to authorise my iPad to watch Singtel TV Go, I got the message that you must be connected to Singtel fibre broadband to use this function.

The Singtel TV Go also not able to detect the STB to pair as remote.

Hmm, I just de-authorized my Mi Box S and authorized my Realme 7 5G mobile phone for the SingTel TV Go home view function. And I am using SingTel ONT + Asus RT-AX82U router. So I believe you should be able to do the same with Netgear RBK353. Try to connect your iPad to the main Orbi router to see if that makes a difference.

As for Singtel TV Go app remote paring, I believe you need SingTel issued router. I can not do that since I am using the Asus.

Hi, so I swapped to the new 4k DVR today and got a code 6 error when loading, bootup issues. On the phone with CSR for 30 mins and they going to arrange tech to come down next week. Had no problems with the previous non 4k unit at all. No change in network settings. Router is Asus AC68U, Lan port 4 already on Singtel-others, still on ONT (Alcatel-lucent brand). How come?

Do you still have a Singtel issued router to see if that works or not. Singtel technician will probably blame non-Singtel router used in this case. It is possible that RT-AC68U (quite old already) is the problem for 4K DVR.

Hopefully other 4K DVR users using 3rd party router can chime in to tell their experiences. I am still using the non-4k Singtel TV box myself.

I might have 1 un-activated Singtel Router lying somewhere. Used to have 2 of those when I recontract but never use becuz still using AC68U. Threw one away into recycling bin during housekeeping..lol..
So if I used the Singtel Router, do I need to change settings somewhere or inform Singtel as I do not have access to the web based if available.

No need to change anything if you are using Singtel issued router other than setting up the wireless SSID and password, no need to inform Singtel either.

In the end, he changed my ONT to ONR, free up lan 4 on my Asus and now I have additional 3 more ports from the ONR. He mentioned the 4K unit cannot use with ONT.

Really snappy function on the 4K unit.

So there are a few reports related to Singtel 4K DVR Set-Top Box.
1) Singtel ONT does not work well with the 4K DVR box
2) Singtel ONR + Linksys E9450 (in AP mode) + Singtel 4K DVR box

There are no info about system requirements from the Singtel 4K DVR box website
https://www.singtel.com/personal/products-services/tv/dvr/gen3
@Singtel -- please help to clarify. Thanks.

Really snappy function on the 4K unit.

I'm curious, does this mean that the Asus becomes an AP?

Mine was using non-4K STB, had marketing call from ST dangling discounted rental when upgrade to 4K STB. My setup is setop box direct connected to bridged mode Huawei and later on Nokia ONR.

Whole unit freezes after a good random XX mins. Even their own engr gave up and I request revert back to non 4K STB.

Recently switched to Linksys E9450 and am experiencing freezing on Singtel TV (non-4K STB). Sometimes it’s one channel, but sometimes the entire channels freezes and the remote does nothing as well.

Did not experience such issue before switching. There’s no issue with the Wi-Fi. Linksys E9450 is connected to the ONT.

Anyone experience such issue as well? :s22:

I have no issues with my Asus RT-AX82U setup (Singtel ONT + RT-AX82U + Singtel TV box).

It seems to me this is a Linksys issue then. There was report with Linksys E9450 with the 4K Singtel TV box before. Your report is with non-4k box.

As a potential workaround: when you encounter issues, restart the E9450 first and then SIngtel TV box (power off and then power on -- takes time to reload).

If the problem persist, you may want to contact Linksys for support.

BTW, have you upgraded to the latest FW version?

Yeah, am on the latest version of the firmware.

That’s the part that annoys me, I have been restarting the STB and ONT often now. :s22:

Finally switched my decade-old Motorola set top box to a Tatung 3102 box, the bootup speed and channel selection really fast compared to the Motorola.

Just a note to come down to +serv at orchard central earlier, went down at around 1145am and there's a queue already.

I am on Singtel ALU ONT and have no issues with the 4K DVR box. I've been watching the 4K football channel for more than a month now.

I hope I'm not speaking too soon though

Good to hear that. Just wondering what is the router used in your case.
