Anyone took up the offer of free 6 mths + waiver of contract?

I understand it’s a new pack called Variety+ Pack.

I am currently on Ultimate Pack, not quite sure what channels i will lose out

I have called up, and just to commit for 12 months contract for my current one (w/o Mio Stadium), will get further $30 rebate, plus 12 months HBO and 3 months TVB Cantonese. Mine is Jingxuan Variety.

I called too and the CSO was rather confused over this rebate.

Subsequently, I was told beside the $30 rebate, there’s a 6 months HDO free. I plan to visit the Hello shop face to face to sort it out instead.

I went to the Singtel Shop to settle the free 6 mths subscription + waiver of contract.

Am currently on Jingxuan Ultimate. Free 6 mths of that. Only need to pay for my other add ons such as 4K STB rental, Singtel TV Go 3 devices and Canto Pack.

If you’re still locked in a Singtel TV contract, you really have to sign up for this to get out of contract.

Especially if Singtel wins the World Cup rights a few months down the road, so far their pattern is if you recontract for 2 years, you get free World Cup

I am currently on singtel broadband and tv. If I terminate tv but keep broadband and then subscribe to starhub tv+ (maybe with box), can I use singtel broadband to watch starhub tv+?

Just an update, all of a sudden, the freezes seems to have stopped. I didn’t change any settings, no idea what happened. :s22:
I may have found the issue why some people may experience freezes on Singtel TV with Linksys E9450 router.

So my last update was on Apr 29, but the following week, it started freezing more often. To a point I was so pissed off that I wanted to get a new router right away. So I gave the router one last chance before I trash it.

I reset the router back to factory setting, and followed closely with the instructions to set up the Linksys E9450 router with Singtel TV. And boom, no more freezes since.

One thing I realised I did with the initial set up was, I didn’t switch off the ONT. I plugged the powered ONT to the new router right away.

With the new set-up, I followed the instruction to turn off the ONT to plug in the router and turn it back on.

I believe that is what caused the freezes. Those who experienced freezes can try it out and comment. For my case, it fixed the issue.

i recontracted last Saturday, got a similar offer as above but without the 3 months TVB cantonese.

is there a certain procedure to "activate" the free 12 month HBO subscription? left the shop and forgot to ask about it

tried to login using my singtel TV account no. with NRIC on the HBO app but seems like the HBO subscribtion isnt activated yet

saw a FAQ as below:

6. I am having errors logging in to HBO GO app. Who do contact if I am facing issues with my account? For account and login related issues, please call 1688 for us to assist you further. Kindly note that there may be a provisioning lead time of up to 3 days for us to process your HBO Pak order

If you login to Singtel -> https://www.singtel.com/personal/my-account/manage-accounts/account-summary
Under your SingTel TV > My Addon, you should able to find HBO Pak (No CT). I am using Singtel box and when I power up and can immediate access HBO channels

Anyone ever "downgraded" to a HD set-top box (should be $4.90/month) from a HD DVR set-top box ($12.90/month)?

I was given a 6-months-free option when I wanted to terminate the subscription at the end of the football season. Just had to pay for the HD DVR set-top box rental monthly.

Have not switched on Singtel TV at all ever since. Will watch whatever remains of the football content when the season starts, but do not foresee recording anything. Wondering whether I can get the set-top box exchanged at the Singtel shops or do I need to make my way to the +Serv centres?

Me.

I brought my 4K box down to terminate.

Accepted the 6-months-free option. Told them I don't need the 4K box anymore since no more 4K EPL.

Had to make my way to +Serv and exchanged for the $4.90/mth box.

Your new non-4k box is still the square Tatung or the new round one?

Just realise that Singtel has a new non-DVR set top box after browsing the support page

Cessation of Oh!K

Why is Oh!K (CH 525/611) and Oh!K On Demand ceasing on Singtel TV?

From 15 September 2022, Oh!K (CH 525/611) and Oh!K On Demand will no longer be available on Singtel TV as Warner Media, the content provider, will discontinue the channel across the region.

How will I be informed of the cessation of Oh!K (CH 525/611)?

All existing Oh!K viewers will see a message about the channel’s cessation on screen when tuning in to Oh!K (CH 525/611) from 15 August to 14 September 2022.

I am subscribed to TV pack with Oh!K (CH 525/611). How will I be impacted?

From 15 September 2022, Oh!K (CH 525/611) and Oh!K On Demand will no longer be available on Singtel TV. You can continue to enjoy Korean dramas and entertainment programmes on KBS World (HD) (CH 523/606), ONE (CH 513/604) and tvN (CH 518/619).

I am watching drama series / shows on Oh!K currently and the channel will be discontinued before the series end. What can I do?

The content provider of Oh!K, Warner Media, has decided to cease the channel across the region on 15 September 2022.

As a result of this, any drama series / shows on Oh!K will stop their telecast from 15 September 2022.

You will still enjoy Korean entertainment programmes on KBS World (HD) (CH 523/606), ONE (CH 513/604) and tvN (CH 518/619) which offers latest and top-rated shows from Korea.

Alternatively, you may sign up Viu Premium on cast.sg/viu and enjoy up to 3 free months with no contract.

I have recently signed up for TV pack which includes Oh!K (CH 525/611). Now that these channels are no longer available, can I change my TV pack or terminate my contract?

Kindly note that if you are still in a contract, early termination charges will apply if you change or terminate your subscription to the TV pack.

Will there be a reduction in the TV Pack subscription fee?

Kindly note that there are no changes to the subscription fees.

Anyone managed to make RM4 Pro work with Singtel TV DVR Set Top Box (Tatung STB-3002)?

No issue with ir learning the Singtel remote with my cheap MeLE F10 Deluxe universal remote and RM4P. However, only RM4P unable to remote control this box after learning. I even placed the RM4P right before the set top to make sure it's not a distance issue. RM4P has no issue with LG TV and Samsung Soundbar though.

This is like a deal breaker because there's no point of getting RM4 Pro if one device cannot be controlled.

Is there other blaster that will work with it?
