Does Singtel still have the retention offer where we can visit comcentre and get 50 percent off mio TV packages with free set top box rental for a one year commitment?

So far whenever I recontract, they will automatically give me 50% discount for 12 months

Singtel didn't want the rights, it's with MOLA Sports, on new OTT player, Eazie TV.
Thanks and they didn't decrease the price?

Getting more and more fragmented and thus hard to follow with which services have what broadcast and the most value/minimum number of services to subscribe to get all EPL, FA Cup, ELF Cup and 3 x UEFA leagues.

Last season retained discounted Jingxuan Variety Plus because still have FA Cup, ELF Cup and 3 x UEFA leagues and got Starhub TV+ premiere league as cross carriage is exp.

Does MOLA direct or Eazie TV has any of the others beside ELF Cup?

Otherwise anyone knows how to most value/minimum number of services?

oh, i was replying to the "else return box to their store?"

for recontract, i'd like to give a definitive answer, but so many people have so many different experiences, it is like singtel profiles users and gives different offers for seemingly same types of users. i've not figured out their algorithm......

even speaking to 2 relatives who each work as singtel CSO at different shops (hello shop in malls), they give different answers.

i gave up watching tv, returned the box, moved all my services out of singtel, and am now happier :)

The following are based on my own experiences. I always go down to Singtel Shop in Jurong Point for Singtel TV recontract. I am on Singtel TV Family Favorite Pack since late 2018. Before that I had Singtel TV Family Starter pack as part of Singtel Entertainment Bunble+ which had both Broadband and TV.

This is very different from recontract of Singtel Mobile (I have two SIM Only lines) and Singtel Fibre Broadband (I have the 1Gbps plan) --> I do recontract by click online links from SMS/Email/Web links (sometimes WhatsApp links to talk to Singtel WhatsApp channel, sometimes website forms submission). Never really need to go to the shop.

1) I need to go to the TV counter of Singtel Shop (not Singtel partner shops). Even the front end staff or the sfaff for mobile phone do not know anything about TV promotion.

2) Yes you can try request 50% OFF 12 month contract, and free Basic Singtel TV Box rental, for typical Family Starter packs and maybe other packs, not for Sports related plans

3) No online form to fill.

4) Not possible for greater than 12 month contract. I have to go down every year.

Hmm so for East side the store @ Tampines Mall can do? So the basic STB also 50% for 12 month and cannot request for those HD DVR boxes? Wait do u mean you recontract 12 mth then every year go down? They dun lock u to a 24 mth contract meh?

i found that even PG can adapt if there is no alternative. if the original alternative exists, they (like the youngsterst too) naturally won't adapt.

i have seen my friends unsub from signtel AND starhub tv, and after a few weeks of accilimatisation, the parents all learned how to use the apps (use on largish tablet was a crucial point - easier to see).

some of the old folks even discovered more streaming apps on the app store/google play and then thanked my friends for pushing them to explore more and find more alternatives. that was a real revleation for me.

edit: the old foks were in their 70s and 80s.

Singtel Shop: Tampines Mall, 4 Tampines Central 5, #02-13/14/15, 529510

What I mentioned is based on my own experiences, you can always try to negotiate with Singtel TV counter staff.

Take note I am not good at finding "very good" lobangs -- as I do not like to spend much time negotiate with Singtel. So I will happily recontract as long as it is the normal promotion other people are getting, not the special offer only a few people are getting.

In this case, I am happy with the offer and I just go down every year and ask for the same promotion. And they are also happily handling my request. So I spend only a few minutes there every year.

BTW, for Singtel TV, the only time I spent a bit longer time was to replace my dead Singtel TV Box last year in Singtel Shop (could not power up). Previously I needed to go to SERV+ at Orchard Central to replace the older Singtel TV Box (back in 2018) due to power contact issue.

Yes.

I'd like to sign 24months contract to avoid going down every year, but they do not have.

Sometimes I may forget and only realize after receiving the biil -- so I need to pay a bit extra for that partial month.

Same for SIngtel SIM Only, I'd like to sign 24 months contract but again they do not have. So I have to click the link every year.

FYI on Singtel SIM Only link --> this is the web link I click. No such link for Singtel TV recontract.

looks very similar to singtel's gomo - but right now, they have a 10/10 sale at $10. excellent value.

i use gomo because it's monthly recurring charge, no need to remember to go down and renew. fire and forget :)
