don't know much about tel cable hav 4 lines inside. One number only use 2 line

but many years ago, I have 2 tel lines at home.

I remember the technician came to the room, only change the tel socket and that's it for the 2nd tel line. No extra cabling. the room only 2nd tel number can ring.

some logic apply then one will be using one tel socket exclusively for mio tv. that socket can't have phone calls now.
my 2nd socket(2nd number) is also using the same single tel line coming into my house.

both of the phones can ring, can make incoming/outgoing calls.

so they didnt have to run new cabling into your home then ?
how is your MioTV 'reception' then ... any lagging issues or any other complaints ?

cos i too was of the concern that if they did lay new cabling + trunking, that it might :
1) be unsightly
2) i might have to pay for it

my layout is something like this

they split open the cable beside the door. and connect a new cable to the 2nd pair of cables in my old tel line

as for reception and internet speed, so far no issue yet.
internet is able to reach the max speed with miotv playing HD channels or VOD channels

They just came to install the 2nd line last Friday (20 Nov). They didnt have to run new cabling into the house, just spilt the line at the existing socket and installed a new socket (beside the existing) for the 2nd line. Now, one line for phone and snbb(8mbps) using speedtouch modem and the other line for miotv via aztech modem.

If let's said your phone line is a 6 way wiring we can use the spare pair to activate the 2nd DEL, 8 way even better, but for 4 way a new RJ11 wiring is needed from DP to Socket if you are on 10 mbps or 15 mbps and BPL promo...........

Any body else experienced this?

Install my MIOTV unsuccessful tell me router too old. will change the router. wait wait and wait also never set a reinstallation date.
next week call them... ask me say will call me back. 1 week passed.... monday some chap called me again and asked me if my installation is done. what are the singtel people doing? don't they talk? Asked them when they will install again the chap tell me to wait again. "when they are ready they will call me." 11 days have passed.

My bill is already showing the MIO TV details.
i am wondering if they are going wait till end of EPL next season before they install.
really crap service. Singtel really screwed up.
