Mio set-top box

When I took up a contract more then 2 years ago for Mio Home plan and during installation, I was told that the mio set-top box will be mine to keep after the 2 years contract. I remembered clearly because I was asking about having a 2nd set-top box and the installer advised why not wait 2 years and re-contract will have new set-top box.

Has this policy been changed?

The mioTV STB is not meant to be kept, its on rental-basis!

The mio Box on the other hand is the one that is yours to keep after the contract.

Signed up in Jul-2009 and monthly bill did not reflect on STB box. Suddenly, (just discovered today) that in Jan-2010, they included in the bill STB subscription free.

In short, Jul-2009 to Dec-2009 bill did not include both STB and mio box.

After Dec-2009, they included in bill statement STB Subn FREE.

MIO new Installation with RJ45 Trunking

Hi All

I went to renew my MIO plan and the singtel person told me I can get MIO TV @ $9.90 per mth for 1 year ,plus discount to 2nd mobile line and free RJ45 trunking if the MOI TV box need to be place in the Master bed room & the MOI modem is in the living room. I ask the singtel person, they are using Cat 5e or Cat 6 network cables but she was not sure told me to check with the Installer. Any of you have done the free RJ45 trunking in your home ? What type of cable they are using ?

Hi, would like to ask if there is any use for an extra set-top box without a new telephone line?

If they say can then yes lor, but that only occurs when you had a line dedicated to mioTV.

And besides, even if you had a STB, it had to be subscription tagged, so even if you gotton a set from someone who wouldn't return, it cannot be used.

hi all,

can list which channels are true 16:9? i noticed on demand (mei ah) and live movies (mei ah/celestial) are in 4:3 with black bar top bottom making them look even smaller. Anyone know how to set 16:9?

PS: the setting i already choose 1080i.

If I want to subscribe to just BPL and sports pack is it possible? There's a promo of 34.95 with 18 mth contract. Wouldl I need to pay any additional or hidden charges?

Just need to have a fixed home line and then pay 34.95 mth right?

Thanks in advance.
