Still a few more days before the channel number switch, I wonder if there will be free all Fox channel preview for a few days.

I am forced to terminate by mioTV soon already.

How to blame the govt? When it is starhub that did not want to secure the rights?

Same going forward.
Agreed. Starhub can't be bothered wif securing rights for community shield too. Same for KBS World, they do not want to offer it in HD, NHK World TV is also in HD but Starhub decided SD is better!?

The Hubstation HD user interface is still in SD....the same one used since Digital launch.....the list goes on.

People always says Starhub is most trusted n the best.....but does Starhub care for viewers?. No.

If M1 is allowed to come in, both Singtel and StarHub shall be eaten alive in the content business as well. Been SingNet cutomer since 33.6kps day, and can't wait to jump over to M1 when plan due. Two of my lines already with M1, waiting to move 4 lines over. MDA should set aside, and let IDA comes in and straighten this two stupid fools that keep blowing SGP money away. If you look around, none of the authorities is half as aware/proactive as IDA.

M1 is a Malaysia owned company. Do you see them sponsor F1, s-league and invest hundred of millions in infrastructure to connect us to the world? I support SingTel and Starhub as they are both Singapore company and build using the intelligence of fellow Singaporean. If they perish, it won't do us good too. I remember for years, we don't have much TV content as they are too expensive for the free to air tv station. We are too small and don't have much bargaining chipsets to get free contents. We are being bullied by EPL. We pay skyhigh prices despite only 300k ppl watching EPL. This is reality living in Singapore and being a small country. If you are so smart, see how foreign companies can squeeze your juice away when both of them perish like what you wish. Just like been threaten to turn off the water if we misbehave or don't listen to datuk M. Maybe you like that.

Only half-truths. :s22:

"We pay skyhigh prices despite only 300k ppl watching EPL"... that's because of SingTel and StarHub's stupid bidding wars than the foreign influence. :s22:

True but SingTel do it because they need to break Starhub TV monopoly. If not, they will keep losing customers to StarHub and they won't be able to compete with StarHub due to its TV cum Internet and home line bundles. It's just no choice for them. SingTel dents their profits heavily and we too dent our pockets. We always complaint on Starhub TV bundles as inflexible and expensive. But this could change in 2-3 years time and it will be fair play to both of them and also for us. We should welcome that as it will push for better quality TV contents, better Internet and its services. The bidding war is not stupid. It's stupid if we let EPL took advantage of us and make us pay heavily. We will show them that Singaporeans are united and not good to bully. If M1 and the rest can bring down EPL and TV contents pricing, we should welcome that too. I just felt the current pricing is too ridiculous to just watch a football match or to enjoy a decent TV programme. They can't shut us down and we can't shut ourselves to the world too. :s8:

Sorry if i am wols. But did Singtel just change their MioTV package?
I was subscribed to Combo Pack (Jingxuan + Sports) last time for $29.90/month. Now that I went over to see their Price Plan, their packages changed. A Jingxuan Sports Combo (under Value Combo) now cost $54.90/month. :s31::s31:

@theFAKE - for current subs who do not want to upgrade to the new pack, can status quo and keep to the current old pack/pricing.

can someone tell me whether there's more or less lag on Mio TV with fibre?

when i say lag, i mean the time between the action taking place, and when it gets shown on your screen.

we all know that with IPTV, there'll always be some lag compared to cable TV. the signal on Mio needs to first be encoded for Singtel's IP network before transmission, thereby introducing a delay.

so this is better or worse on fibre? i know fibre is faster than ADSL, but ADSL is Singtel's own network, whereas the fibre signal needs to go through a separate third party infrastructure. does this add to a longer delay in comparison?

i'm wondering if anyone here has firsthand knowledge, or had the chance to witness a side-by-side comparison of MioTV streaming from ADSL versus fibre? please share if you do.

Oh BTW, the new channels are up. Just restart the STB
Although, be aware the EPG/Channel guide is not working now.

That's strange, the app wasn't able to detect my mioTV STB and using manual pairing doesn't work too.

Me too. Am using Aztech DSL1015EN(L) with Singtel firmware. Will be great if there're some experts out there who can advise on the settings.

Sat night Barclay's Premier League Channel 105 (Man City vs Stoke) video quality like ****. Worse than free-to-air! Anyone else got this problem? Call 1688 hotline but couldn't get thru to tech support.

Singtel came and replace my STB and Modem (2live to Aztech DSL1015EW(S)).

i've been using my own asus router RT-N66U for LAN & WIFI & the 2live for Mio TV. How do i set the DSL1015EW as bridge mode and use my own router for everything else.
