I always do this. Power off everything from STB to modem and the ONT (if you're running fibre).

Then I on back my ONT (5 mins later) > on modem (5 mins later) > on STB.

This is my "no choice-suck thumb" method...

anyone connect their AVRs to the MioTV set top box?

it seems that i can only get audio only on HD5 (Channel 2) and Mio Sport (CHannel 102) when i connect the Mio TV set top box to my Pioneer VSX555 AVR.

Thanks. How is the connection look like? Currently I using the N66U. Wonder can support or not.
Installation charges? They have to come and install?

I did my own cabling. Others say only 1 port can support, if 2 stb will need switch.

I just re-subscribe miotv after 1 year. However there is a humming sound when the miotv is connected to my tv (same tv as 1 year ago). So why is there a humming sound now? Last round with miotv, there was no sound. And this humming sound is rather loud.

Anyone experienced this or could think of what is causing the problem? Is it cheap/faulty cable from singtel?

Thanks.

You need a singtel line, or sign under their exstream plan with miotv package
M1 line up to you to decide to keep or not.

I dun experience humming sound but i do felt the video quality can be sharper and colours can be more vivid. In the beginning stage of miotv, i do felt the video quality is even better than Starhub but now both looks quite similar. I have both Sony and Samsung TV and looks like Samsung TV engine works better to upscale video and so on. Probably, my Samsung is newer. Somehow, i felt it's deficiency coming from the source which lowered the video quality. Older TVs does not upscale and compensate for that deficiency. Also a better setup box can play a part to compensate bad video quality. Just like having better video cards in PC which can help to display better video to the LED screen. It's time both ISP upgrade and MDA monitor that video source quality.
