this one need family plus at basic...not $14.90 nia

even $14.90 i rather watch now BPL got hk mei mei presenting....and Astro got chio my mei mei presenting their goals on sunday

Sure I know this. That's why:

Not too sure whether S$14.90 add-on just for these contents and more is one of the highest pricing in the world.

mio TV Price Plan for Cable TV | mio TV - SingTel

So do you agree that $14.90/mth is NOT "one of the highest pricing in the world for those content"?

Im talking BPL and Chump league together is highest in asian and possible the world

$64.90+ phone line (die die) + setup box.

Astro less than RM$100, HK also lower

$14.90 +family plus + phone line + setupbox =?

No, unfortunately you were not. In case you forgotten what you talked, here is the actual text, and you were very clear and coherent then but not now. I do understand if you trying to wriggle out. So we can leave it as here.

Stinktel Mio Sports FA Cup , league cup and Uefa Competition programs are poor. we are paying one of the highest pricing in the world for those content but they simply don't even include studio preview , half time and full time show. even local content on mio stadium has reduced.

i still got mio stadium (free is ending in march) but i rather watch on Now Sports for BPL and Astro Supersports/Fox sports asia BPL/FA Cup and UEFA touraments on my streaming box. not full hd but 720p at least for me is good enough....

im not trying to wiggle out and btw do you work for Stinktel?

but do we have a choice take just $14.90 for mio sports? NO! if u add up with family plus + setup box + phone line how much?
$14.90 +$29.90 + $4.90 +$ 10 =$63.87.

i believe one of highest in the world without BPL!

Just fyi Astro with BPL and UEFA tourament and some other tourament tat mio stadium/sports doesn't have....less than RM$90

You are still denying what you talked. And now so obviously trying to twist out. I will leave it here. You have all the space to twist and turn all you like.

And no, I do not work for SingTel.

If you want to talk about dropping channels, i can list even more channels that mioTV have lost over the years. MeiAh, BBC, and the list goes on. Some of them are popular channels. Let's be honest, strip out the sports content and mioTV general offerings is simply too weak to compete with Starhub. What Starhub haven't done enough is on the sports side where they have lost ESPN (came back as Foxsports) and cricket content over the years. In the end the only solution is to get both boxes, mioTV knows that and is forcing everyone to upgrade to the gold pack or take up fibre tv bundles. Starhub on the other hand doesn't want to bid for current sports content because it is not commerical viable based on marketing and viewership demand.

In the end, we the consumers are the ultimate losers. Either we cut the cord or continue paying for both boxes to keep everything in the household happy.

To be fair, the current mio TV is comparable to ST, the additions of FOX, Star World, Nat Geo bouquets/Nat Geo Music HD, MTV, FX, Star Chinese, Disney, Nickelodeon, Baby TV HD, cHK, Phoenix Channels, Fight SPorts HD, CCTV-9 DOcumentary, Comedy Central HD, KIX HD etc. are all popular channels. It will be good if they have History, Syfy, CNN etc. but SH has locked them all in exclusive deals but they should come over soon when the contracts ends soon.

SH on the other hand refuses to upgrade current channels to HD, e.g. Eurosports, Sentanta, NBA, Nat Geo Music, Baby TV, Cartoon Network, KIX etc. are all available in HD but SH refuses to upgradoffer free upgrade to HD.

Both sides needs constant improvement. :)

In HK,

Basic/Add-Ons + Sports = $HK348 (S$57 excl. Phone Line & STB) [only for exisiting now Broadband customers or customers who switch over to competition]

Basic/Add-Ons + Sports = $HK418 (S$69 excl. Phone Line & STB) [For New customers]

now TV Sports 'Apply Now and Save $1680 promotion'
nowTV|

Prices comparable to those in Singapore

In MAL,
(Astro Family HD Pack + High Definition Service Access Fee + Variety + AOTG + Catch Up TV) [Sports can only be bought thru these packages) + Sports = RM 94.95

http://www.astro.com.my/latestinfo/package_calculator.aspx

On the surface this package looks attarctive compared to mio TV but the channel number count and channels (no movie channels, kids channels, docu chs etc.) differs. Currency exchange rates and size of country to offer such rates needs to be taken into account.

In the same condition as you. Mine is with Mio Stadium. what are your plan? I am thinking of going for one of the Gold Pack ($64.90) and 200MB Fiber Entertainment Bundle @ $49.90 after the $20 rebate. Total cost will be $114. Currently, I am paying about $75.

Mine was the earlier pack. I was paying only 30$ something. Suddenly increased to double and I have starhub also. So no point in paying extra. SO I am planning to cancel it.
Any idea if Starhub still offers the promotions for EPL connection

Hi,
Rec'd the letter from SingTel too.

Started to google around for online streaming source. Was thinking of getting a VPN service and sign up for Sky Sports and came across this webby: 123uktv . com

Didn't manage to find much review about it but it seems to cater to my needs: hassle free VPN cum Sky Go subscription.

Thus would like to know if anybody knew about this site before? As it doesn't provide any trial service, a bit skeptical to sign up.

Thanks in advance.

Hi ladiesman217 ,

I havent been using HWZ much , probably thrice for the past 10 yrs. Haha.

I apologise if my post has offended you or anyone here, just can't help it for feeling disappointed by this outcome. Anyway, I have cancelled my Mio Tv last night. I hope the price will come down one day ! Cheers :)
