Both have the same storage. SSD 825GB. I agree, no point getting Digital Edition.

Singapore price, I expect PS5 to match Series X at $699. While PS5 Digital Edition will be between $569 to $599 max.

+ Better to have 2 options to play a game (Disc & Digital). Rather than limit & restrict yourself to just 1 option (Imagine your friend lending you a PS5 game disc & you can't play it on your PS5 DE, as it doesn't have a disc drive).

+ After completing a game or you dislike a game & regret the purchase, can sell/lend/trade away the game disc.

+ Can buy used/2nd hand game disc.

+ Much faster to install data from disc to SSD. Compared to downloading a game from PSN.

+ Backwards compatibility with PS4 game disc.

+ Can play 4K Ultra HD Blu-Ray & Blu-Ray Movie disc.

PS5 Digital Edition, you'll end up paying more in the long term as you're locked to the price on PlayStation Store, since you can't sell away any games to recoup the losses (Though I know there's often sales/discounts on PS Store)

Good points... really like the design of the PS5 but the drive placement turns me off a bit.

The 825GB built-in SSD is the weak link. After deducting drive space for system OS, how much is left? If next-gen games with higher space requirements eat up 100GB on average, there really isn't much space. Unless you keep deleting games to save storage.

In the end, most owners will still have to add in their own secondary SSD. This will up the additional cost between $150-$200, assuming it's a 1TB SSD.

The problem with the digital edition is there is no resale opportunity for used games unlike the physical disc edition.

It will be huge joke if most next-gen console games are locked to 30fps because the developers chose to prioritize cinematic graphics over frame rates, and don't give owners the choice to choose.

At least it give us an option to add on SSD later if required or else the price will be much higher at ard 1k sgd if they put in a 2TB SSD instead.

1. PS store sale prices much higher than others
2. PS store refund policy much worse than others
3. digital game can't resell when completed/bored/sian no time to play

Disc version is really the only feasible one to consider.
