Deluxe members paying for more content including old games, which in theory is nice, but sony is releasing old games in PAL format with 50 hz only, and that leads to a slower running game, like a 30 fps game runs at 20-25 fps. Pay more $$$, but couldn't give people a deluxe experience with all games. I will wait till they step up their game and stay on essential. I already own most of the sony exclusives and 3rd party games that are in the deluxe service.

current offering and the technical aspects of it just seems to be 3rd grade and half-hearted from sony...

they ain't getting my money with half baked measures.

the emulation solutions i set up on my nvidia shield tv is already in order of magntitude better than whatever sony conjured up for their PS1 emulation solution.

Technical error or not, this debacle ain't over yet.

Sony needs to add a 3 month/ 1 year upgrade options for people who stacked years of subscriptions before they launch this on US soil....

yah lor...i am US PSN and my PS+ is till 08/2024..

so if i am to upgrade, i will have to upgrade en-mass for the next 2 years...can't even try it out for a month or a year.

this is stupid.

hopefully they add 1 year upgrade option. probably have to wait for them to launch in the west and with some backlash.

Ok, i will defo upgrade at this new price point, its about $50(Extra) for me, for the remaining 574 days
Another $20 more for deluxe. But the only deluxe advantage is Game trial and the classic catalogue, which is looking pathetic at the moment, less than 20 games in the whole list, with syphon filter being the best offering.
Now if I only upgrade to extra, will i still be able to get an upgrade to Deluxe later on is another question.

Yes you can upgrade to deluxe later after upgrading to extra.

E.g for me, I spent about $46 to upgrade to extra with 470 days remaining. And to upgrade to Deluxe, I have to pay another $18.02.

Anyone had to repair your out-of-warranty PS5 Controller for stick drift before? Any idea how much?

Tempted to just buy a new one from Sony instead... Under their current Days of Play promotion, all controllers are at $85 each...

If you do get a new one, the ones with the new springs in them are the blue, pink and purple ones.

previously on the ps4, the o button on the controller was used to confirm selection with x to cancel it
on the ps5 controller, it is now reversed, so is there any way to change it as can't seem to find it in the settings

But on essential cannot buy digital ps4 and ps5 game from psn store? Or can.

feel like on essential maybe just to make use of offers on games issit? Like no much use lei.

any one can buy games digitally on PSN....essential is just for online play and cloud saves.

essential is basically the old PS+
