Goodbye K-REIT. Hello Keppel REIT! Hopefully the 'Keppel' brand name will further the value of this REIT for years to come. (And get away with all the negative press K-REIT has been getting over the years)

[ SOURCE ]

DPU announced: 1.96c
Ex-Date: 19 Oct
Payable: 27 Nov

[ SOURCE ]

I don't want to be picky, but why didn't they just name it Keppel REIT from the start...?

will K-Reit be the next big reit? I notice that they always issue rights? So if i own 2 lots of K-Reits, will i need to do anything when this right issue comes?

You have to make a decision whether to subscribe or not. But if you don't, you will get diluted, so probably you will end up subscribing in order to maintain your stake. Maybe even pick up extra rights to further increase your stake :s13:

MLT DPU: 1.71c
Ex-Date: 24 Oct
Payable: 19 Nov

The DRP (Distribution Reinvestment Plan) will apply for this distribtuon.

For the purposes of the application of the DRP for the 2Q FY12/13 Distribution, the price at which each new Unit is to be issued will be set at a 1.0% discount to the adjusted volume-weighted average traded price per Unit (“adjusted VWAP”) for all trades on Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited (the “SGX-ST”) for each of the Market Days during the period of 10 Market Days prior to and ending on the Books Closure Date

Comments: Kaoz. Din expect MLT to also jump on the DRP bandwagon. Dun like it and wont apply for it. 1% is too little of a discount to deal with the hassle of ending up with odd units. Sure you save on the transaction cost but what they dun tell you is that yr fractional entitlement are forfeited. Not a big deal but still not nice.

MLT is the front-runner among REITs when it comes to financial engineering. They are also the first and so far only REIT to have perpetuals.

No doubt if some unitholders subscribe to their DRP it will save MLT some cash. Not really a good deal for unitholders who subscribe, but may be a good deal for those who don't.

But MTL share price should still go up right? By flat you're referring to their distribution?
