u pure somesong fan?
cuz u can buy Z2.

all hate the back plate, but u all forgotten it can replaceable with glass etc :s13::s13: just buy 3rd party backplate.

wat i really dislike is the tiny step above s4 only. we waited for so long, and yet somesong only gave us this tiny bit of improvement.

change backplate will mean no water resistant then defeating the purpose of getting S5.

so Galaxy S5 = S4 + S4 Active...with a 2012 Nexus 7 back
:D

I guess Samsung must be saving the goodies for a more premier Galaxy phone....

Gear 2 has home button and I don't think it makes sense. It's like a shrunken down smartphone.

Strange! :s11:

The Home button quite useful wah!:)

It comes in handy when you don't lift your arm but need to unlock the screen of the Gear as well as go back to home page of Gear leh....:s22:

The Gear 2 Home button has been shifted to the front, which I think it is better positioned than the side in Gear 1...

Talking about back plate!

Samsung, until now, has not released its original color back plate for my Note 3 yet!!:vijayadmin:

Thank god I didn't wait for S5. Didn't regret a single bit getting the G2, even last year G2 spec is almost identical to S5.

true that it's practical. But I still can't get over putting it on my wrist. maybe just me:s8:. But I do like the Gear Fit.

just get the g2 instead of the s5. the specs are similar and I'm sure the s5 will cost much more than the g2.

think it goes back to same qns....

if price is concern, get g2
if removable battery and microSD are concern, get s5....or s4 or s4a

Knowing Samsung, be careful. Do not be the 1st to buy their 1st gen phones. They will release a better version a few months later. I am not very impressed with the S5 to be honest. Design seems weak with even bigger bezels which increases the size of the phone, specs don't seem that great if you got S4 LTE+ version or note 3, the UI is a resource hog(takes up almost half the storage space!) and the touchwhiz is a copy and paste from their recent tablets.

I am definitely looking at other brands right now to compare. HTC will unveil their new phone soon and Xperia Z2 actually seems really good.

here's a good question,

why Samsung chooses 8974-AC CPU for S5 ?

bcos Sony Z2 & HTC M8 chosen 8974-AB CPU

Higher clock speeds. Also, that version of the Snapdragon 800 is dual-sim capable. I'm more intrigued by the octa-core Exynos 6 version of the S5. Apparently they've fixed the cache problems that made the Exynos 5 such a crappy octa-core processor.

Agree that it's a step back for them with regard to the increase in bezel.... Wthell? How many people go swimming with their phones???

HTC One successor is only going to be revealed end March. Don't pin too high hopes.. From the leaked pictures, it looks more or less the same in terms of the hardware design.......

I know who the S5 is for now. Just as the S4 was meant for S2 owners to upgrade to, the S5 is meant for S3 owners :s13:
