wow thats good!! i tried to recontract to the 15.28 plan with less than a month more to go. Am on enhanced lite plan. They didnt allow.

So far as per the reports, Singtel will reject those who want to convert from 5G+ Enhanced Lite plan to this S$15.28 plan. They will accept the conversion from 5G+ Enhanced Lite plan to the S$20.37 plan...

No issues for those just keep using the S$15.28 plan (just need to recontract).

BTW, so far I have not seen any reports of rejection for other users (not using the 5G+ Enhanced Lite plan), including those who convert from the one month no-contract 5G+ Enhanced Core plan.

I see. I have three lines. one belongs to my parent and i plan to port out to SH's senior plan (passion card). For my other two lines, I am thinking of trying out the priority plus plan (wo contract) and see if there is any difference - just being curious. Right now, i am keeping options open first since ST doesnt want me to go on the 15.28 plan. Shall see how it goes! Maybe I shall find a way out of the enhanced lite plan, so that i can contract back to the $15.28 plan!

(Ex) 5G+ Enhanced Core user successfully converted to $15.28 plan recently. 🙋‍♂️

Many thanks to your sharing and encouragement, of course. 😊

the new Singtel Senior TnCs stated:
"After 12 months contract, customers’ monthly subscription remain at $6/month with the stated benefits. Any excess usage outside of plan allowance will be chargeable."

i think you can appeal or wait after 12mths and check bill again. their 1st drawn TnCs are indeed stupid - revert $12/mth after 12mths.

Indeed the new Singtel SIM Only Senior S$6 plan is pretty good. To bad it is not for recontract.

Can switch to eight Senior plan for one month and then switch back to the new Singtel Senior S$6 Plan.

ya the senior line is only for new sign up. They have a senior sim only plan which basically is current price less 20% discount --> link below.

https://www.singtel.com/personal/products-services/mobile/postpaid-plans/savvy-silver

My parent's usage is extremely little cos home wifi coverage is good. My dad prefers to use iPad over phone cos screen big. Overall, talk time, SMS and data all super underutilised. So not worth paying for a $20 plan.

lol. mai la...very mafan....if like that ... jump ship to Starhub $6 without contract once and for all already better lol.
cause it just does not make sense that there are incentives given for new sign-ups whereas existing users who want to stay on are not given anything~

New sign ups only?

I wonder what Starhub is thinking. Seniors are already so isolated. Not many are tech savvy. By forcing "new sign ups" their numbers will change again, cutting them off from their friends who had their old numbers. Which results in further social isolation. This generation also doesn't call/contact each other often unlike today's.

Someone did not think through the implications of forcing a new number instead of allowing port-ins (retain old number for reasons of remaining socially contactable).

Good point.

On the other hand, StarHub may be more flexible than SingTel. I will suggest those who like this plan to pay a visit to the StarHub Shop and see if it is possible to port-in or not.

If you are currently a Singtel Senior customer and wish to subscribe to the Senior Plan at $6 per month, one available option is to port out to GOMO (promotional price at $5.50/month for the first month), and then port back to Singtel Senior plan within the same month.

The following telcos are available for selection in the port-in menu:

  • StarHub
  • M1
  • SIMBA Telecom
  • Circles.Life
  • GOMO
  • giga!
  • MyRepublic Mobile
  • redONE Mobile SG
  • CMLink SG
  • ZYM Mobile
  • eight Mobile

hmmm , thanks for pointing it out. I think i'll have to go check it out if number could be ported over. else it's pretty much pointless too!

yea... makes sense.. better go check it out at the SH Hub itself!
