SingTel itself does not mention the 5G NSA network shutdown deadline anyway.

But Zym and CMLink 5G+ FAQ mention the 31-March-2026 deadline.

Looks like the next target is on 30 June 2026.

Anyway, I think the so-called NSA network shutdown date is a "desired target date" by IMDA, not a hard deadline. Therefore SingTel has some leeway here to keep extending the date.

SingTel has extended the duration of the free 5G+ SIM Card upgrade roadshows until 30 June 2026.

...

I am asking eight 5G users and Maxx 5G users to confirm whether they still have 5G NSA or not. I think StarHub and M1 are ready to shut down 5G NSA network.
Tried to check with my Maxx line...

Set to 5G Auto, nPerf showed 5G (SA).

How to ascertain NSA is gone or not? What settings?

Took about 12 seconds on the iPhone 17PM to turn from 5G NSA

So your iPhone can only stay in 5G NSA network for a short time on M1 network. Interesting.

I will wait for more reports on M1/Starhub network to see if other users can have access to 5G NSA network for longer time or not.

For Singtel network, you can stay with 5G NSA network for long time by disabling 5G SA.

For my testing of Starhub Prepaid S 5G plan using my Poco X7 Pro, the change is immediate.

When I switch off 5G SA, it immediately goes to 4G LTE. The icon changes from 5G+ to 4G or 4G+ immediately.

When I switch 5G SA back on, the icon will change to 5G and then 5G+. When it briefly shows 5G, I check NetMonitor app and it is still using 5G SA.

For Xiaomi Poco phones, the "+" in the "5G+" icon indicates Carrier Aggregation, not 5G SA.

The "+" sign in the "4G+" icon also indicates Carrier Aggregation.

The Singtel hi! S$5 per month 4G senior plan is also not bad, can be a strong competitor to eight/SIMBA senior plan as well. Main missing feature is the

But then if you do not need much roaming, Singtel S$6 per month 5G senior plan many be better for local usage (only for new user and port-in as of now).

wah i wonder if this will cannibalise Gomo? Looks like both Hi! and Gomo can work for the same market segment?

Anyone has experience on the hi! 5G plans? Or it shouldn't differ to Singtel SIM Only plans?

Need to port out tomorrow from circles, deciding between hi! 5G at $13 or vivifi $10 free 5G 6 months (then see how)

how about in terms of 'priority' of the bandwidth? it'll still be lower than the $15.28 plan right?

is this considered a pre-paid plan?

PostPaid, in terms of priority, maybe lower than S$15.28 plan.

My take is that Gomo will disappear by 2027/2028.

giga will also disappear by 2027/2028.

Just my guess.
I share the same view as well. Doesnt make sense for different BU to cannibalise one another especially when they share the same infrastructure.

just to highlight - might need to consider if there are any ancillary charges like sim card, activation fee (?). I recall last year when i wanted to port from M1 to ST MNO, ST wanted to charge me for physical sim card if i do it online. I managed to get sim card charges waived when i signed via roadshow. Might be good to more cautious and take note of additional charges that come along when you port over etc. Not sure how it works now as i am quite out of touch on these.

1) Take note online sign-up is eSIM only.

Prefer in-store service or a physical SIM? Visit any authorised retailer to get your hi! Plan.

2) When I ported from CUniq 4G to Singtel hi! S$10 4G using eSIM, no extra cost, just paid S$10. Then I did not top up and let it fall to base plan. After another 60 days the line was terminated. (90 days validty in total for the old base plan).

3) The new base plan is even better with 180 days validity. This may needs confirmation from SingTel side.
