So, my smartphone, phone number, domain and email have to be highly secured. That means spending a bit more per month to have a peace of mind.

I actually wanted to get a brand new number and then start doing number isolation the proper way. But what are the odds?

No amount of engineering can prevent the 2nd one, unless fully automated.

Yup thus, my comment that with entire automation with loggings and internal security etc. in place it will reduce and alleviate only.
Otherwise, anything that is open to manual intervention and on the internet will always have loopholes and will never be fully secure.
Ultimately, it's whether the entity has resource to manage or not.

Are you afraid of phone number related fraud? My personal opinion is that there's no need to specially get a new line to do sensitive applications such as banking 2FA. That's just my opinion.

I think it's ok to reveal your phone number, just need to secure SMS, your smartphone with virus scanner, use the more secured eSIM instead of SIM, fingerprint screen unlock etc.

It's just like it's ok to reveal your email address but not ok for strangers to intrude into your email inbox.

Similarly, identifiers such as NRIC, credit card number should of course be kept secured, but it's ok to reveal phone PayNow numbers, UEN, bank account number, etc for transaction purpose and lots of people revealed these to me to transfer money.

I follow the scam news on Straits Times, most frauds are related to revealing login credential, 2FA, CC number. Phone number related fraud that mandates an isolated mobile line is almost non-existence.

No new user can sign the S$15 plan le. It is only offer to existing customers. So the S$24 plan is a good start for new user.

Meaning refresh number list until found good one?

Singtel system is the worst, random and also cannot filter down to preferred digits.
I did managed to refresh for like 10 mins until got decent number for my free trial though.
*BCCCDAA where A to D are consecutive numbers

My best experience was with M1 SIM Only number system a decade ago (which I tio my golden number from their free tier list some more).

Giga and CL (lots of nice numbers to begin with easy search function to do filtering)

I feel that if you need a brand new number, you are better off with trying other MVNOs, finish 1 mth with them before porting over to ST.
