My contract is expiring on March 2025
I submitted this form and got it to recontract

4. Very good offer at lowest cost of the offers at S$15.28 per month.

Your contract ends in Mar 2025 and they allowed you to re-contract now? Also 100 GB or 150 GB in the contract?

+1 for the S$15.28 plan!

Singtel seems more... particular about their Fiber recontracts but seemingly has no playbook when it comes to their SIM-only plan recontracts! 🤞

I switched to their Core plan (minimum one month, otherwise contract-free) for S$40/month just a few days back but decided to submit my particulars yesterday to err test it out.

Positively surprised to see the updated contracted email to me today with an effective date next week! I scrutinized the itemized bill and sure indeed, it's 150 GB of 5G data for the next 12 months. Don't see any early termination fees for that supposedly one-month lock-in either.

I was trying to port a spare number ( eight ) to SingTel Protect esim but it says the number is not valid for port in ? Is this plan restricted to existing singtel customers ?

Update: Called 1609, CSO recommend to either call their tele sales or sign in person 😐

Shouldn't be since not stated in T&C, thought there's a "for selected customers" only.

It's in the T&C. Must be a Singtel Mobile subscriber and then you get the eSIM at $4.90. Different from 1 month free eSIM trial.

The TNC says,

" Protect eSIM is open to all new and existing Singtel customers. You’ll first need to sign up for a new number or transfer an existing number from another telco. "

The "new customer" means I must sign a Singtel mobile plan first and only then I can sign for this ?

1. What is Protect eSIM?
Protect eSIM offers a 2nd eSIM line — on top of your main line — with 100 minutes, 100 SMS and 5GB of 5G data at $4.90 a month.

2. Who can sign up for Protect eSIM?
Protect eSIM is open to all new and existing Singtel customers. You’ll first need to sign up for a new number or transfer an existing number from another telco.

Seems like you need to port in to Singtel mobile first then sign up for this.

See the FAQ - I thought it's clear already.

Protect eSIM offers a 2nd eSIM line — on top of your main line — with 100 minutes, 100 SMS and 5GB of 5G data at $4.90 a month.

This 5G line comes with Mobile Protect, ensuring a more secure experience for activities like banking and financial trading. Surf with a peace of mind knowing your transactions are better safeguarded against scams, phishing and data breaches. You’ll also receive a weekly personalised report of all the threats Mobile Protect has shielded you from on MySingtel app.

Just click Back and Next and back and Next until you are able to get thru.
The website has bugs. A few more tries and i was able to proceed normally.

how to check if u have 5G?

my previous plan is 4g only and recontract with sim only plan with 5g...dunno how to check if my current sim card is 5g capable and whether I have 5g access activated on my phone

also, if I understand correctly, all the 1 time charges such as caller ID and 5g registration should be waived already right?

Check your contract/Singtel App, should reflect if you have 5G included in your plan.

SIM card wise as long as its recently issued, it should support 5G.

Waiver of charges depend on what was included when you signed/recontract the plan.
