First time in recent to see my Singtel S$15.28 main line to drop to 4G near to my home (near to Jurong Point) -- in my block's lift and only recovered about 30 seconds later to 5G SA.

Previously it was either 5G NSA or 5G SA in the lift.

Based on the reports from other SingTel MVNO threads, looks like they really start to turn off 5G NSA.

No idea whether they will really finish the job by end of June 2026.

I will need to monitor the situation. I expect the user experience to drop when they turn 5G NSA but let's wait and see.

I am starting to think about the possibility to remove most of the SingTel services like Singtel Fibre (if got no good promotion again like in August 2024) and even my own Singtel SIM Only S$15.28 main line, only keeping my wife's S$15.28 plan.

Alternative: StarHub Fibre Broadband and eight 5G S$10.8/S$14.8 plan or StarHub Prepaid S$15 5G plan.
Singtel doing something I guess. I had been seeing 4G for last 2 days, including today.

I just changed to the 15.28/mth plan 2 weeks back and felt that the latency has dropped as compared to those time when i was on enhanced lite/core. One example would be when i run searches on google, it takes a slightly longer time to load the searches. Also, there were instances of "fake 5G" where 5G was shown on my iPhone but there is no connectivity. Not sure if this is due to network priority issue, or cos of the removal of the NSA.

guys, if recontract from previous $15 singtel sim-only plan to the $15 plan, make sure the older dataroaming msia add-on is removed or you have to manually remove it yourself.

mine was the older 2gb msia dataroaming and it didn't auto remove, didn't notice it until i saw my current bill had an extra $10 charge.. :(

at least gotten it removed but then now like harder to msg singtel cso, need fill up enquiry form and wait for callback.

Second time seeing 4G today but this is kind of expected, in the lift of the office building. I am using Poco X7 Pro phone.

1) Same as before: no data connection as always.

2) Differences: previously it would show 5G (5G NSA connection) and now show 4G.

It does not really matter in this case as no data connection anyway.

As mentioned before, StarHub network is better in quite some places at work.

Ranking of data connection quality at my work place (inside the building).
1) StarHub Prepaid S 5G
2) eight 4G
3) Singtel S$15.28 5G plan
4) M1 Max 5G

Once out of the lift, then no issues going back to 5G SA.

On my way home from Raffles Place. Handphone show 4G at the station platform, no network. Cant connect to hardwarezone.

on the train, from RP to lavender, showed 5G but no network connectivity. Hwz page could load the moment I see light at the end of the tunnel literally.

Haha, it’s been a long while since I see 4G showing up on my mobile phone in Singapore. The time I see 4G is when I’m in JB. At least I got connectivity when it’s CELCOM 4G. Haha.

I can confirm 5G NSA network shutdown at some places by simple experiment.

1) Disable 5G SA
2) Check if the phone still shows 5G or go to 4G/4G+.

You can check this way as well, it should work with both Android and iOS.

no idea, i gave up trying to chat and just submit form.

or is it maybe cause i tried it at night?
Pretty sure there should be a human there at night...

I hate having to deal with Silly Shirley and almost always asked for Live Agent coz AI hardly understands our questions. Waste of time having to deal with it.
