sorry? but i don't remember theres such thing as "budget rams" from crucial brand .
all they have is ddr3 sodimm rams , and using it without failing for 1,5+ year i'm quite impressed by it

don't by ocz , 34nm > 25nm transition issues , firmware , etc
intel in the other hand is better , or crucial .
when you got a reliable SSD , don't even need to worry about warranty / breaking down

Well, ok, in any case do check your rams, if the branding is "Rendition by Crucial" it is their budget line. Crucial branded rams can't be this cheap imo.

Want to upgrade the HHD and memory of my MBP 13" bought last year, anyone can recommend a place or help me? How much will the item cost roughly?
320GB to 500GB or more
4G RAM to 8G Ram

In addition, anyone can advise how to save my data to transfer to the new HDD? Is it using Time Machine?

Thank!!!
Upgraded my MBP at Fuwell @ Sim Lim Square, they were very helpful in installing the RAM and HD for me. I thought the price is alright.
4GB - 69
WD 7200 500G - 95
HD casing - 25
=)

i heard western digital scorpio blue got the 750 GB one with 9.5mm - does anyone have any experience with these? any noise or lagging?

since its 9.5mm there should be no issue whatsoever right? in theory?

Re-seat the RAM... If that fails, then put back the old RAM kit to see if that works.

If the old RAM works, head back to Fuwell to exchange the RAM.

re-seat means.... open it up.. n check if the ram is properly inserted?

Yes. Open it up, take out the RAM, and re-insert them. Swap the modules around if you're worried.

i've re-seated it n the problem still persist... i'm wondering issit due to the 1333mhz clock speed... cos my prev ram was 1066mhz

U r using which model? My previous 2010 mbp wont accept both slots to be 1333Mhz... at least one of them needs to be 1066Mhz...

This is due to the EFI unable to downclock the rams...
U try inserting one of ur previous 1066 and mix it with 1333 and it should work....

Does anyone have a clue whether a January 2009 Macbook can accept more than 4GB of RAM?
