darn. stupid viaddress no one in when usps came. now need to schedule redelivery. then can only call viaddress at 10 pm. argh.
ok..but mine had aleady handed over to delivery agent and...btw last name is our surname? am i correct?
so which material is better in taming the recessed mids? i read around this thread, and most sae OFC. If i would like a braided white cable with right-angle plugs at a shorter length from audiohub, think he can do it?
From my last email conversation with Louis from AudioHub, he suggested a pure copper setup to enhance the mid. However, this in turn, will mellow out the treble and bass, which the TF10 has plenty of. Please note whether you take the suggestion or not, AudioHub will make the cable using the desired material but no complains later
Louis also mentioned that the teflon coat will be clear thus the only component with colour option will be the Pailiccs plug. There is also "colour" option for Neutrik, black or nickel. ViaBlue and Oyaide has none.
Please note there is no guarantee that AudioHub will have the desired plug. I am just listing out the options so that those who are interested can have an idea of the plug to-be-used.
First of all you have to consider the eco system of your setup.
One wire isn't going to change a whole lot - I don't want to mislead you.
You have to consider your chain - DAP(DAC)->AMP->IEM
The TF10p is a forward sounding treble and bass centric IEM.
This will result in the mids being extremely hollow as it is tweaked at the crossover.
Cables can mask it a little but it's a band aid and not a face lift.
Plugs can be bought in Singapore but you're subjected to Singapore prices too.
But if you want that plug badly, let me know and I can make it happen, just have to add more to the cost.
anyone can offer me a recommendation for the reshell etc for my TF10? it is arriving possibly on tuesday and after looking through everything, i was thinking of maybe reshelling and such. can someone kindly guide me on this please. including the price and stuff..
jermx9 i suggest you go to stevenkelby. he got a great reputation in headfi and is reknowned for his worldclass workmanship. he can definitely create a piccolino cable for you.
take impressions dun need min age but as i have warned you, you will 90 percent need to go for refit in 1 year time. i may actually reshell through thousand sounds cos i going to china at end of year and the place im going to is actually where their workshop is located.![]()
how would you compare ofc and occ.
Got Crystal Piccolino cables? Or crystal cables?![]()
If I'm already using TWcu for my LOD, should i use Ag or Cu for my tf10 cables?
I use mainly OCC because I like solid core how it sounds.
You want to pay for crystal cable?
TWcu is the whiplash audio copper that is cryo treated.
TWcu/AG or Cu depends on your your amp and your preference and genre.
The amp to IEM wire is known in Hifi as the speaker cable - which is icing on the cake.
As i told randius, i won't recommend anything pure silver anything, it is very fatiguing to the user - was a SF5p user and have heard the TF10p in action.
UE is great for beginners who have upgraded - this gives them the excitement of details but you'll notice you can't sit through a song without gettting sick of the sound because you're so tired of everything in your face all the time.
You can't relax to the beat.
and to add on for mine,@weibchen: you have suggested copper setup but I wish to know what effect will silver-plated copper has on TF10? Also, will solid-core OCC be stiff? I wish to use the Oyaide P3.5SR straight plug.
