so which material is better in taming the recessed mids? i read around this thread, and most sae OFC. If i would like a braided white cable with right-angle plugs at a shorter length from audiohub, think he can do it?

From my last email conversation with Louis from AudioHub, he suggested a pure copper setup to enhance the mid. However, this in turn, will mellow out the treble and bass, which the TF10 has plenty of. Please note whether you take the suggestion or not, AudioHub will make the cable using the desired material but no complains later :p

Louis also mentioned that the teflon coat will be clear thus the only component with colour option will be the Pailiccs plug. There is also "colour" option for Neutrik, black or nickel. ViaBlue and Oyaide has none.

There are two models for the Neutrik plug: NTP3RC (Nickel-contact) and NTP3RC-B (Gold-contact)

There is only one model for ViaBlue plug and everyone is familiar with it: T6S. Adds extra $10 to cable cost

There are two versions each for the Oyaide plug:
Straight version: P-3.5G (Gold-contact) / P-3.5SR (Silver-Rhodium contact)
Right-Angle version: P-3.5GL / P-3.5SRL
Oyaide is the most expensive option and getting from AudioBasic will cost about $35. AudioBasic has all 4 versions stated above.

Switchcraft has a couple of versions in the 35HD series but basically it should be gold contact with black handle. Adds extra $5 to cable cost.

Please note there is no guarantee that AudioHub will have the desired plug. I am just listing out the options so that those who are interested can have an idea of the plug to-be-used.

You can click on the bold text to go to the product page.

Just to clarify -
OFC is a grade of the material -
OXYGEN FREE Copper - it is still copper.
OCC which I use is also copper - but its higher purity 5N (denotes the number of 9s at the back) - 99.99999%

All request can be considered but to bring cost down, I am getting the wires directly from the factory in china.

If you want a special customized color/fit/etc, can be done but you have to A) Wait or B) pay extra because if you guys want 10 pieces, I'm ordering almost 50 meters worth of cable.
Also I'm going to source for the plugs in china for bulk prices, I have liaise with a few shops there.

This will result in savings due to bulk cost as I can bargain with them, and I have a bigger leverage for them to entertain me.

Any questions, just pm me directly or asked it here.
I will try my best to keep up.

First of all you have to consider the eco system of your setup.
One wire isn't going to change a whole lot - I don't want to mislead you.

You have to consider your chain - DAP(DAC)->AMP->IEM

The TF10p is a forward sounding treble and bass centric IEM.
This will result in the mids being extremely hollow as it is tweaked at the crossover.

Cables can mask it a little but it's a band aid and not a face lift.

Plugs can be bought in Singapore but you're subjected to Singapore prices too.
But if you want that plug badly, let me know and I can make it happen, just have to add more to the cost.

If I'm already using TWcu for my LOD, should i use Ag or Cu for my tf10 cables?

A few of us are reshelling with Unique Melody in China through Null Audio. The cost would be $212.50 for reshell, shipping and lune cables. You still have to make your own impression which would form the shell of your reshelled tf10. Impressions would cost about $40-60 depending on which audiologist you visit.

Btw take impressions need minimum age one?

how would you compare ofc and occ.

I use mainly OCC because I like solid core how it sounds.

Got Crystal Piccolino cables? Or crystal cables? :)

You want to pay for crystal cable?

If I'm already using TWcu for my LOD, should i use Ag or Cu for my tf10 cables?

TWcu is the whiplash audio copper that is cryo treated.
TWcu/AG or Cu depends on your your amp and your preference and genre.

The amp to IEM wire is known in Hifi as the speaker cable - which is icing on the cake.

As i told randius, i won't recommend anything pure silver anything, it is very fatiguing to the user - was a SF5p user and have heard the TF10p in action.

UE is great for beginners who have upgraded - this gives them the excitement of details but you'll notice you can't sit through a song without gettting sick of the sound because you're so tired of everything in your face all the time.

You can't relax to the beat.

@weibchen: you have suggested copper setup but I wish to know what effect will silver-plated copper has on TF10? Also, will solid-core OCC be stiff? I wish to use the Oyaide P3.5SR straight plug.

No la just asking about the cost of crystal cable only. Heard its about 1k +?

Ah okay. I think i would prefer silver cables then. :)

and to add on for mine,

I already have a rhodium-plated oyaide plug at home that i was planning to use but not used yet, so is it ok if i send it to you and you'll remove the charges for jack accordingly? Interested in SPC if you do offer that option.
