my advice is to get used to the android environment before u try anything.
go do some reading etc in the meantime while enjoying ur phone which provides u with endless possibilities.

only after u are confident of what u are doing den u start exploring the more technical issues such as rooting and unlocking bootloader etc

Help! My Xperia Z cannot boot beyond the Sony logo. After displaying Sony logo for awhile, the phone goes dead. I tried plugging into a power point, it also shows the Sony logo & then goes dead then it powers up again & shows the Sony logo & goes dead again. keeps repeating this when i plug into a power point. I was trying to repair the phone using PC companion but halfway got error message say repair fail. then the phone couldn't boot up already.

You're having a lot of software issues. :s22: You've been flashing mods and custom ROMs and so on?

If you don't plug the phone to the power point, does it enter into a bootloop?

When you're repairing the phone, is it going through bootloop?

Another way would be to flash the latest stock firmware using Flashtool. All user data will be gone.

A new root exploit has been found to work on certain Xperia S and Xperia Z firmwares, that allows for easy one-click rooting. You can check out DooMLoRD's thread here:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2327472

For now, it works on specific firmware versions and customization numbers only. In case you don't know what's your phone's customization number, use your Dialer and enter *#*#7378423#*#*, then Service Info, Software Info and it's under Customization Version.

Hi would like to ask a question, not sure if you guys can check this for me ><

I heard recently that the new updates contain the white balance setting. Have any of you tried setting the saturation way up? And does it change the display to something like a Samsung display? (Cuz I'm not sure if I want natural colours and just want to know if something like that is possible)

Thanks!

not possible. Samsung using AMOLED display. no white balance settings can achieve that kind of over-saturated colours
