Suggestion: recontract with Starhub and get an iPhone 5S. Then sell off the 5S (high resale value now) and get the Xperia Z at non-contract price. If you're lucky enough to be able to get your hands on a gold 5S, you might even earn some money after selling the 5S and buying the Xperia Z.

but time is tight as my friend is flying off this weekend.

so it'll be quite rush to do this at the moment

and i doubt my fren is into all these hassle to buy and sell.

if its me, i'll consider doing it. esp when the phone i want is hard to find and can only buy w/o a contract

my phone suddenly become 'Ready'. but they never call me. hope it's not so screwed up that it's beyond repair... or warranty void.

on another note, wonder if they do 1-1 replacement? if they gimme a brand new phone... i'll be in cloud 9...

same here bro. they also didn't call me. i called them and they simply told me to go down to collect since its ready. gonna do it tomorrow.

haha dun count on it, they probably won't replace ba imo. go down and get your phone, u never know

Since it's this weekend your friend is flying off, why not get the Z1? Z1 is available this friday.

they did not give me 1-1 haha, it's ok since actually I don't want to spend extra money buying the tempered glass SP which is on the phone already (I'd told them not to remove during servicing, and they did not).

changed the flap and some internal components. they say there was no corrosion.

checked camera - all clear!

dun think there's a way to check online, gotta call the service center to check. and do check if u got the extra warranty period when u registered the phone online.

im going down tomorrow after work to collect the phone, ask them about it as well

You have to check any particular app you install is running in the background cos when you install more apps, they will drain more of your battery as all are running in the background.

Ya, I didn't notice any significant improvements since I flashed the new firmware last week.

Lol, around 2 hours after I updated my Xperia Z, I got drenched in the rain with my Xperia. Got home, see red light blinking every 5 seconds, thought my battery was flat, open the flap and noticed the rubber lining was loose.

There's wetness in the slot, affected the SD unit side also. Indicator turned red for both sides. After a few hours, managed to turn it on, but it was in Safe Mode. Volume down button didn't work. Factory reset to restart and also remove my porn. Still in safe mode, can't use apps or anything.

Without a choice, had to go Bishan service center. The guy wasn't amused by my Titanic reference. Now, waiting sadly for 3 days [or more] for the update. I hope to hell they're able to fix it, I love my Xperia Z...

But I wonder how the cost is gonna be.
