my phone (xperia Z) whenever fully charged(100%) the moment I unplug the cable less than a min. it drop to 99%.
is it normal ?

same as me ... mine less than 4hours from 100% drop to 10-30%

Not normal. Mine takes min 10mins on standby then will drop

This phone is less than 1 month since I re-contract on 15th Nov'13.
At home only activate wifi (disable 4G), brightness set at 50%, using stamina mode.

Even on standby mode the battery also can drop a few %

This is the replacement unit since the 1st unit battery drain every fast, when surfnet (wifi only) for 1/2 hour can use out 40% of battery power and the back cover very hot. Sent in the J8 Sony service centre for 5 days yet can't tell me what's wrong with the unit so I demand a replacement unit.

anyone experience like sudden screen blackout when you press the power button?

its like you off your screen and when msg comes in you on your screen again then it blinks and suddenly blackout and not able to "turn on"

why i say "turn on" is because the screen is blackout but the phone is still on. when you press the power button sometimes the screen got light but its still black and cannot see anything.

not able to restart the phone or anything. then suddenly the screen will work again when you try to press the power button again.

FYI. ytd my phone died for quite long. so i decided to call my phone to wake it up. the call didn went through but it auto restarted.

sigh.. i dont know how to bring it to service centre. cause sometimes its ok sometimes its not. heng sway one

Try repairing on PC Companion. Remember to back it up.

Don't seems normal to me. The back hot when browsing I think is normal cause my do get hot too.

I got the same issue last night and was shocked. I press the power button and it cannot recover until I did a hard reset.

Quite puzzled as it is the first time this happened. Pretty sure I didn't overload the phone or something.

Try repairing on PC Companion. Remember to back it up.

yeah i reset my phone to factory default.. but issue still there.. once a blue moon the issue will come

wow, thats great. mine they gave a list of part them change but it looked like they changed everything. so i have no idea why didnt they give an one to one


Warrenty still stand? or voided already?

guys for the 100 - 99 drop instant is not really a problem + its abug for 4.2

some people dont face it some people do there are 2 reasons

1. IF its a bug then cant do much wait for 4.3
2. IF you leave ur phone for long on charger after 100% this happens coz after 100% current is stopped and actually phone is discharging so when u remove the % drops.. its normal behaviour .

You can check XDA and other places the bug is common on most of the 4.2 Devices...

Is it a one time occurrence? I notice that Singtel reception is quite bad these few days.

These few days it keeps happening. After reset the phone still same.

Quite a couple of times wake up found the phone flat. But the charging light still there.

it might be due to the apps you install in your phone? i only experience this when i watch movie and charge at the same time.. although this practice of watching and charging is no good...
